Agreed. I have no problem with hunting if the animal is not wasted. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with animal death, and I think part of the reason God created animals is for food, so they should be received with thanksgiving (1 Timothy 4:1-6).
Now what about HUNTING?

Here in Asia, where bird flu is a potential problem, I'm teaching my son to wield old Daisy, Crossman, and Benjamin.
My teaching my son to shoot birds is my contribution to the bird flu problem. :D

I personally am a "tree hugger" so my "motto' is... "Save a tree, eat a Beaver"...
Is the Death of a Deer or a Goose more valuable than that of a Cow? Mcdonalds gets their meat and I get mine...Mcdonalds has to kill to get their beef and so do I...BTW, I ain't never seen a live "critter" jump onto my hamburger bun...! :D

"God given Right"...
Gen 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
Deu 12:15 Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.

Brethren,
Do you know that there are more deer today than there were 100 years ago? This is because hunters pay hunting licenses, and hunting licenses pay forest rangers, and forest rangers enforce hunting seasons. -
When pastoring 16 years in Wisconsin, I killed 2 deer. With my Oldsmobile.
By the way, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) says that Tyson killing a chicken in Arkansas is JUST AS MORALLY EVIL as Hitler killing a Jew in Auschwitz.
That is the end result of really bad doctrine. -
I eat...therefore, I shoot.

Hunting wild animals to eat is okay.

It's simple, Sample. Killing animals for food - okay. Killing animals to satisfy human bloodlust - wrong.

SO your saying that when I look at my wall and see all those big beutiful sets of horns I was wrong? I think not!I have never been under conviction for killing an animal yet.
-
By the way, just because someone doesn't feel badly about an action they commit doesn't determine whether the action is right or wrong. -

Ken ,I can't recall but if their not to old I do eat them.
Mind you most of the animals on my wall are old so I probably gave the meat away. -
Let me send you my shipping address ... sausage is GREAT!
-
As long as someone eats the meat I have no problem with it, Sample.

Ken smile I'm just jurkin your chain.

Our bodies digest grains, fruits, and veggies the best because our intestines are so long. Carnivores have shorter intestines and get rid of the bacteria and other junk more quickly.
Having said all that, I think that eating meat is probably part of a fallen world and it is certainly not wrong to eat meat as we can clearly see from the Bible.
I was an animal rights activist before I was saved and became a vegetarian at that time. I am no longer an animal rights activist but I am still a vegetarian. I totally lost my taste for meat. A lot of cruelty does exist in factory farming and the way animals are raised for meat. I am a softee on animals -- I could never hunt one and don't like the conditions of some of the modern factory farming. But I think hunting humanely is actually better than the way the animals are raised on these farms for meat.
