You preach the Gospel, yet you cannot unerstand written English, how odd.

Maybe it would be easier if you spoke in individual terms instead of the collective's. Betcha can't!
First one has to think in individual terms to speak them. -
-
I'm setting up a refresher course for all you collectivists and I'll try to post it this afternoon. Hope you'll enroll and try to learn the language of the original American patriots. It's a dying language that served us well from 1776 to just after WWII. But I'll warn right now...collectivists don't really have the ability to comprehend it all right off so don't get discouraged. "If at first you don't succeed" and all that ya know.... -
But price had better be include all the costs of the goods or service being sold including the cost of the taxation and the burden - tax accountants, lawyers, decisions, etc. - of keeping up with it.
That burden is an unproductive drain on our economy that produces no useful goods or services.
All corporate tax is merely absorbed by the purchaser of the goods or services. It's just hidden in the final prices we pay.
If we really felt the full cost of all taxes directly as individuals we'd be a lot more inclined to resist all the "wonderful" programs of our governments and be less likely to be fooled into thinking someone else is magically funding it for us. -
-
One way to eliminate the lobbyists is to take away the reason for their lobbying. If corporations - businesses - didn't pay tax that would be once less reason for them to be lobbying for tax breaks.
There are, of course, other reasons for the lobbyisits such as seeking to influence legislation to generate business such as, for example, in the case of environmental consultants seeking lobbying for more environmental regulations knowing it will generate more business for them.
The real lobbyists need to be the real tax payers and that's you and me. If we received the full bill we'd be a lot stronger in our voice against it! -
"I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of our country." Thomas Jefferson, 1812
Trying to pin the blame on this side or that now is kind of irrelevant. Basically we need to take our government back from krooks and thugs who are well moneyed well armed well entrenched and own the machines that mold public opinion. While staying united as Americans at the same time.
Of course that would take some super human effort on our parts to throw off all them party loyalties an all our little bias and differences to do it.
An uphill task to say the least. Looking at what we have to start with.
Naw, then again let's just go bowling and surrender to tyranny. It's easier. -

Wow. This thread certainly blew up.
I'm still young & spry, and I'll repect the age of some folks, but you couldn't prove by this thread that with age comes wisdom.
Hey poncho, we got Ron Paul coming to Missoula next week, highlights to come.... -
"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."
-
He also said this...
"We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debt, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and our creeds...
[we will] have no time to think, no means of calling our miss-managers to account but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers... (this is about where we are at now, fun isn't it?)
And this is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle in one instance becomes a precedent for [another ]... till the bulk of society is reduced to be mere automatons of misery... (this is where we'll be very shortly if we stay lefties and righties blaming each other all the time)
And the fore-horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression." Thomas Jefferson
Wretchedness and oppression. Let's all hope he was wrong and wait around arguing till we live like that. Or let's all drop our petty biases and do what's right.
Naw on second thought nevermind bowling sounds like more fun.

Hyperbole. Lobbyists cannot write legislation. -
Lobbyists no longer even need to carry the international corporito's "proposed" legislation to congress anymore for approvale. They've figured out how to get rid of the middleman!!!
Thanks for reminding me. -

I've got it !!!!! Obama must be talking about liberals, since they seem to be the only bitter ones. I refuse to hang around whiners, my friends are all self-employed ranchers, carpenters, musicians, people who know if they wait in line for the nanny state to come wipe their noses, they'd be waiting a long time. Since all the people here complaining are liberals, I'd say the promise from the democrat party to take care of people, and the fact that they've been making that promise for like 60 years, and have only been able to create more poor, I'd say they don't know what they're talking about. Old or not.
