Not surprising since you don't have a logical mind.
Any Christian who claims to be against the slaughter of innocent babies yet continues to support everything obama, the great baby killer, does has an illogical mind.
I don't support everything Obama does.
Where did you come up with that.
I don't support everything anyone has done except Jesus Christ.
Why do you find it necessary to combine your religion with your politics?
Christians are not mean-spirited.
You seem to think they are.
You need to think about that.
So, you are suggesting that we should not hate a Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Pinochet, Castro or any one that has the same disregard to the sanctity of human life, as does Obama and loves more the pursuit of their own political means? Yes, Obama fits right in with the above group of the infamous.
When Christ was speaking of loving your enemies He was not speaking of Caesar. He was, in context, speaking of how we should love not only our own personal neighbors but our own personal enemies as well. If people do not heed to the things that He spoke of here, society breaks down. And a nation crumbles from within.
Nations must do the necessary thing to protect itself from all enemies. God directed as much to Israel in the OT. One enemy had a tent spike driven through his skull while he slept in his tent. If a nation does not build walls (the necessary thing for protection) it will be over run with enemies.
I find it very compelling that many here are willing to impose a moral Christian value on a "secular government" in regards to torture but completely disregard any moral Christian value on the individual choice of abortion because it is deemed legal.
I suspect that 90% of your posts are either praising obama or trashing Bush.
Christianity is a way of life.
We cannot lay our Salvation in Jesus Christ aside when we enter the polling booth or any place. That is especially true when it comes to voting for an immoral unborn or just born baby killer like obama.
I have yet to see anything in your posts about President Bush that is not mean-spirited.
Jesus commands us to be in this world but not of this world.
Yes, we should consider our faith in everything wew do including voting.
No, we should not combine politics and religion to the extent that we tell people that if they don't belong to a particular political party they cannot be a Christian.
Where do you find this supported in the Bible?
Who has said that Just?? I don't believe that anyone here has made such a statement. What we have said is that we find it hard to understand that a Christian will support someone that murders babies.
One puzzlement though - where do you get the fodder for the bolded part?
I have seen it questioned how one could be a D and be a Christian, (and that does confuse me), but never that a Christian has to "belong to a particular party".
Another post demonstrating a lack of logical thinking. I condoned nothing. I said there is no relationship between abortion and torture of prisoners. So here is your official "Jump to Conclusions Mat".
The OP does not say there is a relation between abortion and waterboarding.
The question relates to the hypocrisy of those people who whine about waterboarding terrorists to eliminate future terrorist attacks while at the same time advocating the continued slaughter of the unborn, 50,000,000 and counting.
I'm not suggesting not to hate, the Bible teaches us not to hate. If you find encouragement to hate it was not in the Bible I read or the God I serve. Jesus taught us to Love one another as he Loved us.
It is possible to hate the actions of people without hating the person. I don't encourage men being with men but I can love a g@y person and pray they get right with God. God loves the sinner while hating our sins, why can't we?
So to answer your question, NO, I don't hate Hitler. I hate what he did but I do not hate Hitler or any man.
I believe you added this to scripture. Nations should do God's Will. Where do you find where nations should do anything necessary to protect themselves? Isn't God our protector? If we do anything we feel necessary then we are lacking faith in God's ability to protect us. If you believe a wall can protect you then you don't need God. Just build a wall.
I don't know how you feel about it but I will put all my trust in the Lord and not in a wall when it comes to my protection.
Ancient Jerusalem had walls. God sent Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. It was God's will that Jerusalem have the walls rebuilt. The New Jerusalem will have walls and gates, too.
Read your Bible.
The Bible says God hates hands that shed innocent blood (abortion).
Jesus said to love our neighbors as ourselves.
If we love our neighbors, we will do whatever is necessary to protect them from enemies who want to kill them and their families.
Jesus never said what to do AFTER you turn the other cheek, BTW.
