Have you read any of his books, and what do you think of them?
I've just picked up 'Reaching for the Invisible God' and 'What's So Amazing About Grace' from the public library.
Philip Yancey

'The Jesus I Never Knew' is just totally awesome.
'Disappointment With God' is really great, too.
I have read 'What's So Amazing About Grace', but it has been a while (who did I loan that to...)

Although Yancey has some good things to say, I frankly am not to fond of his writing. I have read The Jesus I Never Knew and What's So Amazing About Grace and both seem a bit "pretentious" maybe.(?) It is hard for me to put my finger on it, but he seems a bit overly judgmental to me. Anyway, to each his own, I guess.

I read What's So Amazing About Grace and
The Jesus I Never Knew. I liked them both .I am going out tomorrow to get a book .Maybe I get another by Philip Yancey .. -
Yancey's "What So Amazing About Grace" is very weak theologically when compared to Horton's "Putting the Amazing Back in Grace" and not nearly as "readable" as Swindoll's "Grace Awakening".

What about his "Rumors of Another World"? Isn't this a strange book? I've skimmed through standing at the bookstore, but don't know what to think of it. It's almost New Agey. Comments?
