Trump administration launches global effort to end criminalization of homosexuality

All this reminds me of the Episcopalian vs Anglican debate in the context of homosexuality which resulted in the American Episcopalians being excommunicated. Are we really going to take a contrary position that our Christian missionaries bring to countries such as Uganda? For the love of Pete, Russia is more Christian than America. Tell me you don't believe the above article will not have resulting consequences for Christians. Other nations where Christianity is attempting to take root must look at us Americans as nothing more than hypocrites. We do not even believe the very Scriptures we push on others. This is appalling. We're promoting blood guilt towards civil magistrates which are rightly condemning sexual immorality. Only if our Government actually fulfilled its purpose for which it was ordained, that is, to actively seek out evil and combat it by the sword. But what is evil, Right! If you don't want to do business with Iran then grow some balls and state that but don't give a reason for one of the few things Islam does right. I was far more supportive of Trump when he refrained from moral and especially religious discussion.

Ever since no fault divorce our nation has been on a slippery slope beginning with adultery, homosexuality, and the now agendas pushed by pedophiles. If this article is true then Trump has lost my vote. Obama pushed this very same curriculum in the social welfare program called public education which is spiraling this nation into ruin. Obama threatened to withhold funding from schools which opposed the LGBT~Q. And for those Christians which voted Trump for Conservative judges in SCOTUS, the irony is that SCOTUS won't even hear cases to overturn Roe vs Wade. People voted Trump for the economy yet our economy has been wiped out in a matter of weeks. Have you not read that we ought not multiply our horses? That is, put faith in our economy? Do not multiply chariots, that is, do not put faith in military? Do not multiply wives, that is, do not put faith in peace treaties? All these events today seemingly expose our nation's folly.

Have you even considered Trump's faith advisory team? Kenneth Copeland, Paula White etc. Nothing but devils pushing the Prosperity doctrine and Word of Faith movement. The false face of the Christian faith. Meanwhile Christians and Conservatives are appalled that the Left won't condemn pedophile rings and the sexual misbehavior of the likes of Joe Biden. Hypocrites.

When the government blurred the lines between what is church, and what is governmental protection against murder and robbery, and inserted itself into personal rights, it was downhill from there.

There is no going back without total revolution of thought. And since the apostate church is no longer the separation of church and state, church, it is highly doubtful the one and only true government will ever be restored. Only the judgment of God and the removal of all humanity will begin the promised earthly government to the 12 tribes and the 12 disciples.

Good grief, this article is from February 2019. It didn't just happen today.

Do YOU believe that gay people should be hung, put in the electric chair, given a lethal injection, and otherwise legally murdered by world governments?

I don't. And this is what this article is about and what Trump was opposing. The killing of gay people by Islamic governments who declare homosexuality a criminal act.

If we are going to give the death penalty to gay people because it is an abomination, then we are going to have give the death penalty to ALL others who commit Biblical abominations.

Proverbs 6 says there are seven more abominations: haughtiness, lying, mischief, murder, wickedness, false witnesses against people, and spreading strife amongst people.

There won't be anyone left alive.

Atheists do not believe in God, so they do not necessarily accept what God's word says is sinful, and if they are in the majority, then they can pass laws contrary to the word of God. Everytime a professing Christian votes for Democrats, he or she is helping the godless left in their war against America's Christian culture. A vote not for Trump is a vote for abortion.

As stated in my OP the government is ordained to wield the sword actively seek out evil and combat it. For no other reason do I find the necessity of government existing. You suggest when governments wield the sword that that is "legal murder"? Murder conveys criminal intent. I do not believe the very Scriptures which prescribe the death penalty for homosexual is an unrighteous one. But I do believe many today do not have the stomach to witness righteousness. Yes, I believe sexual immoral acts ought be criminalized and the executioners ought not bear blood guilt.

And what do the Christian Scriptures say? Is Trump going to distinguish between Islam and Christianity? Uganda also criminalizes homosexuality and to a degree Russia. Both of which policies result from the spread of Christian influence.

Is that your ideal of fairness? Do you believe fairness is some kinda code to live by? In other words in order to be "fair" to everyone we'd need to persecute and criminalize all evil or none? Because we won't we should therefore entertain evil and go so far as listen to the fool's irrational discourse on the subject? Righteousness and Justice are not "fair" but are prejudiced and bias siding against Evil.

Could you imagine if the penalty for perjury or bearing false witness was penalized by death today? Could you imagine living in a society that cherished the quality of speech in such way as truth was prized rather than the unbridled tongue of the fool?

Exactly, and that's God's Just condemnation for all mankind. Every man dies for the Lord alone is righteous. To combat evil God ordained government in this world. Yet, in our disillusioned minds of an Utopian society our ways are higher than the Lord's ways. Our government becomes no better than that of man's folly trying to create a perfect Utopian society. What is right yesterday is no longer right today. Question, do you believe the 1st amendment [I refer to the intent of our forefather's] protects lying, slander, gossip, bearing false witness, and the expression's thereof such as adultery, homosexuality, pedophile, bestiality, pornography, etc?

The irony is abortion is a way of population control. Imagine instead of taking out the death penalty on innocent parties that actual evil was instead put to death.

Just consider me likewise mutual agreeable with the Psalmist in Psalm 137. Don't get me wrong I consider abortion nothing more than murder and it is abhorrent and should be punishable by death. If one does not believe that murderers ought be put to death in the case of infants but in adults then I question whether the person advocating against truly believes the unborn baby to be an actually baby.

I'm not here to win over abortionist. Look, if you are pro abortionist I don't care to be your friend. I am not going to try to win you over. But I am going to advocate for your death sentence. Pure evil ought be punished. It isn't the government's place to demonstrate grace but I don't oppose mercy. Mercy however, conveys that someone is found guilty of an actual crime and leniency is applied.

I will not vote for someone that is not God fearing and hating a bribe. That's is not a principle by which I can compromise. I do not believe any Scripture suggests that if you cannot find a God fearing man then find the next best thing. I think it evident too our government has become evil, especially considering the subject of abortion.

Are you saying that you want the government to put to death every person in the United States who does not agree with your stance on abortion?

No, I am clearly saying that I believe the Government ought criminalize and condemn to death anyone that murders an innocent person.

I doubt America would ever have the upright posterity to ever do so as finding an upright vertebrae in any American's spinal column is becoming scarcer day to day.

Thanks for clarifying. Do you want the woman and the baby's father to be put to death? The doctor? What about the nurses who assisted?

Are there laws that condemn all parties involved, that is, conspired etc, if innocent life is taken in the act of a crime?

I ask that you clarify whether you believe the unborn are actual children, persons, that have certain unalienable rights?

I'm just wondering what this law you want would actually say. To clarify, I am a pro-life Libertarian - www.l4l.org.

    "LFL argues that:

    1. Human offspring are human beings, persons from conception, whether that takes place as natural or artificial fertilization, by cloning, or by any other means.

    2. Abortion is homicide -- the killing of one person by another.

    3. One's right to control one's own body does not allow violating the obligation not to aggress. There is never a right to kill an innocent person. Prenatally, we are all innocent persons.

    4. A prenatal child has the right to be in the mother's body. Parents have no right to evict their children from the crib or from the womb and let them die. Instead both parents, the father as well as the mother, owe them support and protection from harm.

    5. No government, nor any individual, has a just power to legally "de-person" any one of us, born or preborn.

    6. The proper purpose of the law is to side with the innocent, not against them."

You, as a citizen (assuming of course), ARE part of this same government you disdain. As a voter, you have a say in the rules/laws we live by, BY your vote for the candidate of your choice!

So, Christforums, if I understand your post, you are willing to NOT vote for Trump due to his stance on homos!? Is this correct???
If so, by you NOT voting for T. that means there will be one vote less to counteract another vote for the Ds! Is this your goal??
Are you sure this is a hill you would die on, when this problem is only one of multitudes this country faces politically!?

There is much about Trump that doesn't sit well with me, but, BUT, he is the best thing to happen to America since Reagan.
By NOT voting for T., you are effectively saying that "I don't like his attitude toward homos, so it' immaterial who becomes POTUS, as long as it's not T." I hopeI am misreading your intent
As I said, this is what I get from your OP.
If this is not correct I would appreciate some clarification.

The ONLY solution that will work is for this country (the Christians in the country) to pray for a massive revival, which may or may not solve the POLITICAL situation, but just may get this country back on a Godly & moral path.

You say this while turning your back on the unborn.

All because of your personal likes and dislikes.

Well at least he did not paint the White House rainbow colored like Joe did. Obama really did it, but Joe claims credit for it.

I am all against homosexuality. It does not make sense for it to be criminal unless adultery and fornication are also illegal.

Exactly. Christians are just about the only group on earth that advocates for homosexuals murdered in muslim nations (leftists like Biden sure don't). I'm proud of Christians for this stance.

    BTW, the OP sounds disingenuous.
