Where have I made this claim?

As Christians, we are to be advocates for outsiders, strangers, and refugees. No one is “illegal” in God’s economy, that is a human invention. Now, we need to manage our borders properly, but we should have a border policy that is compassionate and works for the good of people in need, not just citizens. That’s not “open borders” (or “open boarder” as it is usually stated), but an immigration system that works properly. George W. Bush was trying to do that before 9/11/2001, but the national will to create a just immigration policy immediately disappeared because of fear.

    The Great Commission (Matthew 28:17-20):

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

There’s nothing is there about “getting saved.” We are commanded to make disciples (evangelism is just the first part of that process) and teach them to do the things Jesus commanded us to do:

Jesus wants us to love and serve others. We cannot love someone without being their advocate for justice.

    it’s really that simple.

    Simply put, Black Lives Matter.

I don’t support the organization or necessarily what the leaders believe, but we have a crisis of black persons being treated differently by authorities.

You are obsessed with the “woke” terminology. I don’t think I have ever used that here. I don’t know what YOU mean by it.

Please document the two specific accusations against Russ Moore I mentioned earlier.

You have been exposed. You have shaped Scripture to support your liberal, SJW ideology. Your support of Biden and the Democratic platform speaks volumes. Your accuse me of what you are quilty of. Typical liberal, SJW tactic.

Statistics don’t support your assertion. Black on black crime is out of control. Take off the blinders!

Ad hominem. You are frightened of the Bible and won’t actually deal with the scripture.

Many incidents captured on video show what happens in some places. Black persons and white persons are often treated quite differently.

Crime is, by definition, always “out of control.” But I agree. But it is irrelevant to the premise that black lives matter.

You are the one blinding yourself to scripture and reality.

Absolutely nothing in either about what I asked you about. (You said that Russell Moore "does see prophets given to the Church today!")
Are you making a false accusation against this man? Please explain.

I think that I may have by mistake thought that he made the remarks, as that was really stated by SBC President J._D._Greear

Do you think these guys (who actually do call each other, and accept being called, modern day prophets) should exit the SBC like Russell Moore has?

JD Greear Says David Platt & Mark Dever Are Prophets

Greear: "I am very grateful for the prophets God has raised up"

"my friend David Platt....another example: Mark Dever"

"God is using them to speak to us. We must heed the message being given and ask God what we need to do with the truths they embody"

K Marshall Williams Says JD Greear Is a Prophet

[2019] "J.D. Greear will be nominated for a second term as president of the Southern Baptist Convention, Pennsylvania pastor K. Marshall Williams announced"....Greear is a "'prophet that will stand in the gap'...Williams, pastor of Nazarene Baptist Church in Philadelphia, wrote in a statement announcing his intent to nominate Greear....Williams said he sees 'the Lord’s anointing on [Greear]'."

We have the inspired scriptures and the illumination of and by the Holy Spirit their author, so no need for Prophets today!

What is your answer to the question posed: should Greear, Dever, Platt, etc., exit the SBC?

Yes, as they no longer should be seen as being "real baptists"

Prophets in the New Testament primarily apply the teachings of Christ to contemporary events and explain God's ethical and moral demands for the present moment. It is a type of preaching and teaching. Just because the church has the illumination of the Holy Spirit available does not mean we have no need of preachers and teachers.

What is your criterion for "real Baptists?"

Do they have to hold your political, moral and social opinions to be "real," because that's what it sounds like to me?

Real Baptists to me hold to the true Gospel of Jesus, and the scriptures alone as sufficient, hence no need for modern day Apostles and prophets!

Modern day prophets = preachers and teachers
    Modern day apostles = missionaries

I realize you are talking about charismatic excesses, but just because some churches and organizations misuse the biblical terminology doesn't invalidate correct biblical usage and giftings.
