Now for something not very controversial--should the USA declare war on Iran?

No. Why would the US declare war on Iran?

    No.
The US should not have gone back on the agreement - that has caused the rise in tensions. Also Saudi Arabia is the great enemy of Christians & the "wrong" sorts of Muslims, as well as women & journalists. We should not be supporting them with arms & equipment sales.

The agreement was a joke. It would have kept Iran from getting nukes about as good as Bill Clinton's deal kept N Korea from getting them.

We do not need to get involved in another war. Plus Iran is crazy and will fight to the max should we start mixing it up with them - they will not be defeated as easily as Iraq was.

Presumably "we" knew Iraq did NOT have the weapons of mass destruction we went to war to deal with, so we knew it was safe to invade .....

The US did not have an agreement with Iran. That would have required the Senate to vote and agree which would make it a Treaty, binding the country.

The former Pres had an agreement, which is why the current Pres could pull out just by saying so.

    Peace to you

Saudi Arabia should respond militarily, they were attacked. Given they are an ally we could give things like logistics support, command and control infrastructure, military advising, arms sales, and other military support. But this is their war. If Iran is crazy enough to attack US installations, attack Israel, or close the Straight of Hormuz due to Saudi Arabia's response, then it is our war only because of how foolish the Iranian's are.

Fight them now or fight them after they get nukes. It's coming. Better now than then. No nation building. Pure Scorched Earth destruction.

Actually, it is true no “weapons” were found, but sarin gas exposure has had profound impact on a great number of troops. The high number has caused the VA to begin a reexamination of their policies with more acknowledgment taking place each year.

And, no, the administration had no prior knowledge.

No war. Just go over there and bomb everything that needs bombing and leave. Done. If they try to retaliate go back and give it to them tenfold, they'll learn...

Yep, we know Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction, else Bush would have waited for them to be found. Iraq was beat down by the 1991 war and years of sanctions, inspections, and bombings before the 2003 Iraq war. Iran isn't beat down. And, Iran is letting us know if we attack them, they'll stop the flow of oil from the middle-east. Yeah, we can win a war with Iran, but we will pay very dearly for it.

Saudi Arabia was attacked. By military spending, they're a military super-power behind only the US and China. They can deal with Iran themselves, if they wish to kill lots of people because of some damaged equipment.

It was immoral and costly for the US to pull out of the Iran deal.

Until your last sentence, and the first, I would agree.

Bush (as we all do) had trusted those giving him the information.

(imo) The Iran deal was subverted by Iran realizing they wanted better terms.

Accorcing to Scripture, Iran (Persia) will be part of the "Gog-Magog" attack upon Israel, whom God will defend by destroying 5/6 of the invading army. There's no Scripture involving Persia today except the ones about that coming war.

Now, I don't know how God will destroy the invaders, only that He will, since He said so. He may use forces led by the US to do it, but we simply don't know for sure. He could do it supernaturally, as He's gonna reveal Himself more-fully to Israel when He does it.

I don't believe the US will attack Iran. Why? because Iran would be too-devastated to take part in the prophesied Gog-Magog war.

Before saying how tuff Iran is, let's remember they were LOSING the Iran-Iraq war & were saved only by the intervention of the superpowers, saying "Enough is enough".
