The influence of those who hold futurist doctrine has been nothing but a monstrous disaster for US policy.

A few things to note. We have not actually declared war on ANYONE since World War 2. That's a problem when you see how many "conflicts" we are involved in. If we aren't willing to declare war, we have no business being somewhere. We didn't even declare war after 9/11.

With regard to this, we could afford another war if that is all we were doing. War. This idea of nation building and keeping peace keeping forces in a country when we are done with a war is the problem. We don't fight wars to actually crush the enemy and win the war. It's nonsense. I was never so frustrated than when I took a modern military history class in college.

The United States does not fight conflicts to win them. We go in with this politically correct mindset and end up expanding out military to a global police force.

Those who hold to Revelation already having happened have no basis for that view that has anything to do with reality.

True, but the trillions of dollars in debt say we can't afford to do anything.

Hang on. You think there were futurist believers (pre-trib rapturists) that influenced US foreign policy?

Who were these people? Name some names, please.

Is your problem that we don't declare war and destroy countries that didn't attack us? Or, that we police countries instead of staying home?

That we police instead of staying home. But if we are going to get involved in a conflict we should actually commit, destroy the enemy, and get out.

Actually, we don't need to declare war on Iran, because they started a war with us on November 4, 1979, when they invaded our embassy (legally our territory) and took hostage 52 American diplomats and citizens. As far as I'm concerned we've been at war with them ever since. Jimmy Carter totally wimped out and turned yellow. We should have immediately started bombing Iran.

We are not legally at war with them. But you are right, we should have obliterated them right then and there.

Have you checked the track record of Futurists. How many red moons, etc., have passed without the end of the world coming?

So, we a legal/moral right to nuke Iran any time because they invaded our embassy in 1979? What if someone wants to blow up your house, with your family in it, because in 1972 you cut across their lawn?

It’s amazing how quickly everyone wants to keep making the same mistake over and over again. Sure, let’s topple another middle eastern regime. What’s the worst that can happen?

I don't think they care how disastrous it could be, would probably be. They'll tell us the Muslim nation will welcome the US as liberators. That it'll be a cake walk. But, first, they need a president like Bush who will feed them outright lies and nonsense that they can pretend is true as a pretext for a preemptively war against Iran, so they can whip America up into a war fever.

Trump doesn't want war. And, praise God, he fired that dog of war Bolton. A single month after Bolton began as the National Security Adviser, Trump made the most immoral of decisions to pull out of the Iran deal.

If that is a reason for immediate bombing of Iran, then Iran has a better reason to bomb the USA.

You have a short memory, John. Think back to 1953 when "we" - CIA & Britain overthrew Iranian democracy & installed the puppet Shah.

Don't you warmongers realise that countries are made up of people, not policies. "Our" wars kill vast numbers of people & destroy homes, cities & infrastructure.

"We" are the terrorists, not the citizens of the Arab & Muslim countries.
