It's not about whether we really are at war. I was more into the human interest side of the story, including the links. I know soldiers like the ones the guy mentioned are still around, but we won't be reading of them until after a while. -
(Barbarian suggests that the chickenhawks who support the war should do so by sending their adult children to fight in it)
But there was a greater committment in time, and I had graduate school in my plans. So I enlisted instead. Now, I kinda regret it in some ways. I have to admit that I wasn't crazy about riding in them. Some people handle a rough ride better if they are the one doing the driving. I'm one of those.

I don't remember seeing rudders on them. The thing that's scary is that the collective is a function of speed and attitude, and low and slow is where one is most likely to lose it. -
