Daniel 7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
And the Jews, and Jesus' disciples, knew exactly what Jesus meant when He used that title on Himself.
That He is Divine.
That He is the Son of Man in heaven referred to in Daniel.
Thansk Tim,
when Jesus called Himself Son of man, they all knew what He was saying, no wonder the
religeous leader didn't like Him, they understood what He was claiming.
ok, this makes sence
You're talking about two different things.
Jesus is in his nature human.
(I'm not saying he isn't in his nature God he is that too).
This is not saying the same thing that he was born corruptable with an adamic nature.
two different things.
He could be tempted, suffer, get hungry and knows all the things we go through.
Though he did not sin.
Sin is an additive to our nature not how we are initially made.
Sin nature means that we move towards corruptness and disobedience by default.
Jesus did not have this default.
oh, now, webbie, lookit what y'all done.
I choked on my cheese stix.
why for do you have to ask a question like that ?
which is a valid question, by the way.
answers, anyone ?
I don't have any.
I agree with what is being said here, most all of it!
I have heard preachers say that Jesus is as much man as though He is not God, and as much God as though he is not man.
One hundred percent man, and one hundred percent God.
I believe this is a mystery that is beyond human comprehension.
I just thank God that Jesus is my Savior!
Here man was created in the image of God
and his nature was good in that all things that God had made is good.
Now after the fall this is what we get
and
Which is indictative of the good struggeling with the sin and the default goes to disobedience.
Jesus doesn't have that default but was incarnated as the second adam and over came sin unlike the first adam.
TS, I see nothing from that which separates natures...I see the human nature now tainted by sin.
I still see only one nature, but post fall it has been tainted by sin, hence physical death.
Christ had such a nature, physically died...yet was not a sinner.
Augtine's OS teaches man is a sinner due to having such a nature, and like Marcia pointed out, Christ had the exact same nature as us...yet...was without sin.
The fact "son of" refers to the "nature of" in itself disproves AOS and inherited guilt.
In addition, sinful mankind post fall is still referred to as being made in the image of God. (Genesis 9:6; James 3:9)
"Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed;
for in the image of God
has God made man.
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness.
