There are alot of rap artists who use more organic sounds and live instruments. You won't know them because they aren't what you typically hear on top 40 radio.
The Beatles are the greatest rock n' roll band of all time.

I listen to a lot of non-top 40 music and still
have not heard anything like you said..provide
some links...I still stand on my opinion that
rap puts a lot ot musicians out of work...
what say you Travel ..yes or no
Your case is weak unless you provide a least
1000 songs ;)
wheres all the big orchestras..the brass sections
...the choirs...church organs ;) and again provide
links ..I would be happy to listen.
sincerely

Well there's jazz/fusion rap artists like Digable Planets, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Guru. There are some more straight forward rock element rappers like Roots.
It's not a matter of proving anything. Whatever you can imagine music-wise is almost guarenteed to already exist. Look for it yourself. -

Only John Lennon used a form of Rap when he did "Give Peace A Chance" and how about Blondie"The Tide Is High" -
Or Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues
-
Yes Rap was much better in those days and less degrading.
-
I think you might be thinking of "Rapture", instead. Aside from the obvious rapping content of the song, there's even a nod to rap group, Fab Five Freddie, who inspired the song.
Now Playing: Jerry Jeff Walker – “Live” -
O.K. Mikde I'll go with "Rapture"
-
'Will you still love me when I am 64.'
Paul is 64 now and going through a horrible divorce.
Almost as if he is getting payback time.
Is he being judged?
All you need is love... -

Way to revive a thread after 5 months!
-
Arise and Christ will shine on you. :) -
I pray for him actually.
I went through a nasty divorce. -
Revive the truth about them.
When they stand before Jesus, they will have nothing to say.
When they play for osama, hitler, stalin, genghis khan, and jack the ripper - I wonder if they will get the accolades that so many Christians have placed upon them?
-
-
Interesting that you know some of them claim Jesus as Lord and Savior.
How did you come by this confession of faith?
-

Yes, it's true that there is no indication that neither Paul nor Ringo are saved. However, that isn't the point of this thread.
I can't tell you not to post in this thread, but I can't help but wonder what your point is. I mean, I know the guys in this thread and I trust that most of them are able to discern right from wrong, good from bad, and are able to see the difference between honoring an artist's work, and honoring their lifestyle.
Yes, we know that they did drugs. Yes, we know that John made some controversial statements. Yes, we know that George was into Eastern religions.
But not one person here has condoned those things. This thread is about their music. We're able to seperate the two and I'm asking you to do the same thing.
Now, back to the OP.
The Beatles were a fantastic band, but hardly the greatest.
Brian Wilson and the group of studio musicians posing as the Beach Boys, and the afformentioned Little Feat were both better.
Now Playing: Tom Petty - "Wildflowers" -
. . . They have stood against my Lord and Savior
. . . I asked for someone to point out when they had submitted to the authoirty of God Himself.
. . . and I get attacked for pointing out their destiny.
. . . Instead of gloating, ya' coulda' pointed out when and where they had accepted Christ . . .
It is better to spend a day in the courts of my Lord than a thousand elsewhere! -
I don't know where in the Bible we're told that we're to "accept Christ".
Now Playing: Gamble Rogers – "Signs of a Misspent Youth"
