The pounds are likely to stay off longer the slower you lose them...

Will the doctor be monitoring your progress?

Nope - not unless one of the family has to go see him.

If anyone goes in the nosy guy will ask how I am doing ;)

I've got 11.5 more to go away. Ed says I'll reach my goal by Christmas :( That's a long time away. I wanted to lose it by July 1, too Granny.

Granny, where did you post your Cornbread Salad recipe?

Roger, you really got us thinking about 1 1/2 stone. That doesn't seem like very much to me, but it would depend on if it is a small stone or a large stone [IMG]

Sue, you are correct. It is best to lose weight slowly, but less than a pound a week is really, really slow. Especially when I can gain a pound in a day. [IMG]

sisThankful~it was Sue's recent recipe for Cornbread Salad that I fixed this week. I found it in the BB recipe collection #2. (I think mine may be in the basement on the #1 recipe collection & was called Mississippi Cornbread Salad). BTW, I loved that cauliflower/3cheese stuff from Green Giant...thanks for cluing me in! Well, I have been cleaning out my old clothes tonight. I put on some pants I used to wear alot, and I could not believe how they hang now. They were size 24. Now I wear a 14/16 and I still have to take a double-take when I look in the mirror sometimes. I still have more to lose, but I feel so free. Just wanted to share. If I could figure out how, I'd post some before and after pics.

I might need some diet advice. Broke a belt today.

Brand new leather belt and the end with the buckles just ripped out . . WHILE I was wearing it with my black suit at a wedding.

Just don't make leather like they used to . .

Tater - that's the problem. I was eating anything I want (I'm gonna die, they said). THEN the MD says it's remarkable. You're staying the same. Maybe you AREN'T gonna die.

So here is sit (with a belly and butt like jello) and NEED to lose 40 pounds. Again.

    Ugh.

I feel for you, Dr Bob, I really do. It's hard enough to lose it, and then to just let go...and be told "Maybe not..."

At least you are in the hands of the Great Physician.

Jello hips ain't that bad. I've had my 'bumper pads' for most of my life now...

    In Christ,

There is a little lady at church who is in her mid 80's and she reminds me of Granny Clampett. She told me today that she's "heard all this talk about the preacher's wife" (that would be ME) "losing almost 70 pounds." She said, "Well, I can't tell no difference no way! You look the same to me as you ever did."
    What a compliment!! [IMG]
