Don't we all wish humans had had the knowledge, perhaps long before Ionia, to know we should keep those glaciers from melting? We would not have inhabited Scandavia, Siberia, the Great Lakes area, the Rockies north of present New Mexico, maybe not even Britain.

Unfortunately Global warming will be the basis upon
which future stuff will be distrubuted in the world.
If you insist on saying 'no Global Warmin' - you
won't get your share of stuff.

Sadly, 98% of all the 38 Million Christian martyrs
    were killed for POLITICAL reasons.
Please don't bet your life on there being no Global
    Warming. Thank you.

BTW, politics = the manner and form of determining who
    gets what stuff.

I'd like to see Africans getting a big share of their own stuff.

Is this not-so-subtly disguised or 'cloaked' 'crack' really necessary?

Hi, Ed. In poncho's defense, if you watch the video on Google that poncho linked to, you will see his comment was not intended as a 'cloaked crack.' It mentions big corporations hindering African economic development.

Thanks LE. I think it's sad to see so many people going without stuff we take for granted everyday like clean water and electricity in a place that has so much in the way of natural resources. That's all I was trying to say.

then we should create industry there instead of throwing money at problems with temporary solutions. Outside of that I agree with Sam Kinnisen" Quit sending them money and start sending them uhauls".

Why do "we" have to create their industry, aren't Africans capable of doing that themselves?

How is Africa suppose to industrialize if they aren't allowed to use their coal and oil to produce electricity?

Then I apologize. I did not watch the video. The wording that was used without 'introduction', could have still been improved, however, IMO.

I thought the video itself would be introduction enough. After taking a second look at what I posted I can see how someone might think I was making a derogatory remark, sorry for any confusion. I've been trying to refine my wordsmithing skills since becoming a member of BB without much success I'm afraid. :type:

Good point. However I think we could send in business men to drum up and organize industry where they seem to wander. In so many areas war has to be brought to an end first but I am tired of seeing these lifelong commercials to send money to help year after year to areas that seem to make no progression. It could be beneficial to whomever takes it up and shouldnt be done out of taxpayer money.

Okay here's where I usually get into trouble, but I'm sorta used to it now so...

I feel there are things that need to be taken into account here that never seem to be. We look at issues like global warming as a single issue unrelated to any other but it isn't. IMHO it is just one part of a much larger issue. Based mostly on UN mandates like Agenda 21, Sustainable Development, the Earth Charter, population control, public private partnerships, the Nature Conservatory, the North American Union, Free Trade, etc. in a nutshell we're talking about the road to global governance here.

To my way of thinking the scarey tactics being used to forward the idea of global warming is aimed at bringing the world to a global consensus. That being the need for global taxation. Naw, it's probably just another coincidence that the idea of a "carbon tax" that just happens to be a global tax is being tossed around in the middle of the GW debate. So nevermind.

I am not sure about al of that. i am sure that the UN wants a one world governemnt. Everytime our judges consider the rulings of other countries in their considerations we see this seeping into this country. I know that environmentalism, population control, abortion, and animal rights are all related. people that support one of these tend to support all of these.

I tend to look at it different.
Global Warming is a political debate about who gets what.
If we don't participate in the debate
and if the Lord taries, we won't get
our share - if we opt out arguing "no it ain't", we loose our
share. If the Lord taries, your grandchildren may go
barefooted and wach TV in the dark. (Gotta watch TV, it
is the main ego suppression drug & global government
    replaces the family
    orientation /formerly known as brain
    washing/ tool.)

Global warming is not as settled as the left would have you believe.

Most of the folks that support these 'programs' seem to have another thing in common, the idea that man is a parasite ruining the earth and the people at the top of these global scams (the elite) all seem to think in Malthusian terms about the poor or 'underclasses'.

I don't see how you look at it is that much different than the way I do Ed. It is a political debate about who gets what. In this case the underclasses will get less 'stuff' because they/we aren't as important or as smart as the global elite, thinking in Malthusian terms...the poor or underclasses don't deserve as much because they/we are mostly just useless eaters ruining the earth and the elite have a natural right to rule over us as we are no more to their way of thinking than cattle.

I agree. I have researched these issues for a while now. while some folks take on a few of these issues many take them all on and have come to despise man. Worshipping the creation rather than the creator. It is a full blown religion.

Exactly. I feel that in order to understand what's really going with all these 'issues' is to stop looking at them as seperate issues and start looking at them as the one big agenda to bring about the one world government and religion that it is.
