At least the Palins are going to stick together as a family. In this day and time it would be so easy and legal to murder this baby while it is still in the mother's womb. There are those who claim to be immune from supporting the sin of a party that says it is legal to kill over 4,000 American babies a day. Simply, by claiming they themselves to be against abortion.

They are simply fooling themselves. When choosing to support the murder of babies in the womb by vote of party lines, they who do so try to justify by politics, preferred lifestyle, hatred for those in disagreement or any other foolish reasoning. They themselves are guilty of the very murder that they evilly proclaim. While I truly cannot understand these actions by so-called Christians, I pray for them daily.
Romans 1:18-22, describes such a being.

You have no right to question fellow posters' salvation on this board.

Not surprising how this was taken out of context, but prayers in earnest are still being said.

Honestly...to all Obama's followers...you should heed Obama's call to lay off family. The children never asked for this.

As for questioning salvation: it is against BB rules to question the salvation of another member directly on BB. While I would not question the salvation of a generic someone's political affiliation, it is not against BB rules per se.

Y'all can have this thread. I don't read National Enquirer so why be part of one of its threads on the BB? Time to go be with the grownups. Any hope this thread could be salvaged is probably lost. Ken, you're welcome to join me. Let's discuss Foreign Affairs :)

Hey - if God's first two children disobeyed and sinned against Him, do we think we're any better? That's pretty arrogant.

I'll start a thread on an article about leaving a stable Iraq in the latest issue that I read just the other day. :)

I feel that understanding and compassion is a good attribute and that we should be in sympathy on this issue. It is a shame for the daughter to start life this way.

I would hope that everyone would show the same compassion and understanding if this were the daughter of a person whose politics are not to an individual's liking.

Why should we be in sympathy? A new life was created, the daughter is getting married to the father of her child, Sarah Palin is about to be a grandmother, and the family is sticking together - all attributes of a Christian, conservative, loving, compassionate, and understanding family.

Lot's of people have been born after as they used to call it "shot-gun wedding." That was before abortion got to be so popular.

It's not like this family's lives are ruined. Good grief!:BangHead:

A little bird is whispering in my ear that you are being dishonest with your statements versus your actions.

Well, I'll put it in context. President Clinton was impeached for having an affair. John Edwards was strongly criticized by the radical right for having an affair. It would have been appropriate to let Bill and Hillary and John and his wife work things out on their own. Well, that didn't happen. Now the Republican VP candidate's 17 year old daughter is having an illegitimate child. Does this say anything about the way she was brought up? Maybe and maybe not but there's no way to keep it out of the campaign. Sorry, but you can't have it both ways.

You are comparing apples and oranges. Period.

If she were having an abortion, the left would be cheering. How disgusting.

Barack Obama showed class in his remarks on this topic. Can't say the same for some of his supporters, even on the BB.

Focus on the Family founder James Dobson issued a statement commending the Palins "for not just talking about their pro-life and pro-family values, but living them out even in the midst of trying circumstances." He added: "Being a Christian does not mean you're perfect. Nor does it mean your children are perfect. But it does mean there is forgiveness and restoration when we confess our imperfections to the Lord."

I think this should say it all for us.

Speaking of having it both ways ... Let's put it in the real context. Bill Clinton and John Edwards were the people running/holding office. This 17 year old girl is not. It is her mother that is running for office. So your example is totally wrong. You can't have it both ways. If you want this to be about the people who are running for office as your example indicates, then you can't bring a family into it. If you want to bring this family into it, then your example is wrong.

But how did we get six pages on a non-story?

Weren't President Clinton's circumstances "trying?" This is hypocritical.

If I remember correctly, Clinton was impeached for lying under oath, not for adultery. So it's apples and oranges.
