I don't have one because I never leave the US. But would like to go to Ireland, Greece, Italy, Israel, and the Bahamas, although not in that order. Someday. Dreaming.
But if you have been somewhere exciting, please post your favorite spot with pics or links on this thread. Thanks!

The Canadian side of Niagara Falls!
There's also a place in Toronto, but I really only like that because the hotel was by the water and it had a library and a GODIVA CHOCOLATE STORE right inside! That's all I remember of Toronto. LOL That, the cute black squirrels, and the amazing place that served real, home style Chinese food. I'd go back just for the hotel and that restaurant!
But the Falls? I used to go there frequently and do miss it very much. I was kinda sad the last couple of times that the tunnels are so much smaller now and things are more "touristy" than they used to be some years ago.
Still, I'd go back in a heartbeat. I love it there so much, and love going and finding private spots to just sit, those places where there aren't other people and waters are wild and raging and you can be alone with yourself and God and the sound of wild waters swirling in front of you, knowing how fragile life is, how small you are, how powerful just a fragment of God's creation is in comparison to my life, how despite all that, there's a soul in my fragile shell of a human that God saw fit to have Jesus die for in order to save. -
I have a particular love for two States; Vermont and Pennsylvania. I spent 7 years studying the Civil War at Gettysburg, where the Civil War should have ended. The reenactment was fabulous. We took the whole family and both daughters wanted to go back each year. One daughter even made the Civil War a topic for a paper at her high school and received honours.
Vermont was so down-home American to me and yet unique in their own talents and hospitality.
Cheers,
Jim
Gina,,every one of our relatives who come over from England MUST go to the Falls first!!!! -
The Bahamas...definitely, the Bahamas.

Gina, you jarred my memory, we have been to the Canadian side of the Falls, years and years ago. So, we have been outside of the country to a tourist spot, lol.

Trier in western Germany
Edinburgh
Strasbourg in eastern France
Glendalough in County Wicklow, Ireland
Not a vacation spot, but our own County Kildare
London and Paris are okay, but not great -
Greece
Alas, my photos are on the back up hard drive that is not working! Think I just need a new power supply.
Loved the history in Athens but for relaxing, one of the small coastal towns or islands. -
We love the Henderson Park Inn in Destin, Florida. It's close to us (less than 6 hours by car), right on the beautiful gulf, and the food and service are impeccable. We were just here in April, and loved every minute! BTW, that's where my profile pic was taken. :)

The only place I've been outside the country is Bermuda. It's gorgeous there!

My favorite vacation OUTSIDE the US was Scotland. We stayed at Dalhousie Castle in Bonnyrigg, near Edinburgh. So beautiful!

We live in the northeast part of China now. That would have to be high up on the list.
Here are two links with the best of those two places, respectively:

We have travelled all over Europe and the Carribbean, but I think my most favorite spot to date has to be Costa Rica. We were there (again) last year and it is beautiful, clean and very friendly. The mountain area is simply gorgeous. Second spot....down under, Australia!

Cape Town, South Africa

The Highlands of Scotland are amazingly beautiful.

The Cayman Islands or the Austria

Why not come to EXCITING New Zealand, it is so geologically unstable, one of the volcanoes has started erupting about 90 minutes away, there are occasional earthquakes, weather bombs....etc
There are hobbits popping up all over the place:tongue3: -
My favorite spot for the places outside the US I have been is the Greek Islands in the Aegean Sea. These would include Kithra, Anitkithra, Lesvos, Patmos, and some islands in the Med like Crete, Malta, and Cyprus.
