I just saw the NICEST thing when I went to get my prescription for this odd thing in my eye (can you believe a callous??).
It was kind of like those nice little picnic bags that would carry wine, a couple of glasses and a cutting board and knife for cheese but it was for coffee!
It had a stainless steel thermos, a small container for cream, 2 stainless steel mugs, 2 spoons and 2 napkins.
I thought it would make a great gift for someone who travels!!
I tried to find it online - I'll have to call tomorrow to find out who the manufacturer is.
Dear, Dear - use quotes!
I THINK you're talking to me but......
If you are, I didn't buy it because I'm overdrawn.
I had written up a bunch of bills, we didn't get paid but the teens thought they'd be helpful and mail them anyway.
Thank heavens for cash reserve!!
We're eating out of it these next 2 weeks!
But I thought that would be a GREAT Christmas gift, don't you think??
Melt a bag of chocolate chips, add instant coffee, and spread on wax paper.
put another piece of wax paper on top and press the chocolate into a thin layer.
Put in freezer for 10 minutes, take out and break chocolate up.
Yum Yum.... You get your chocolate and coffee too!
Aww - you're sweet!
We'll get paid next Thursday and I just went food shopping.
I got some great deals on meat so between our pantry and what I just bought, we're set!
It's nice to have a well-stocked pantry, you know.
We'd have been better off if it wasn't the end of the summer because we try to empty out the freezer around now so we can defrost it and then restock.
I try to hit up sales and such - like tonight I bought 15 lbs. of London broil for $1.49 a lb. PLUS each package had a $2 off coupon on it because it was at it's sell-by date.
I processed it and it's all in the freezer now.
Yeah!!
So we're having beef stew tomorrow night!
Coffee is not a drug and it does not have a chemical affect on the mind like drugs do! I read an article on this awhile back. Coffee's effects are temporary and they are good! In a test, they found that people who drank coffee were more alert and able to concentrate after drinking it than those who didn't. So there! <Where is the icon drinking coffee when you need him, that's what I wanna know!>
Someone who is dependent on caffeine, is dependent, not addicted. The word addiction is for things that have a real chemical effect on the body and can cause true addiction!
So tell those teens that coffee and drugs are not in the same category. And then go to Starbucks and order a Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte (my current favorite)! :love2:
