Thanks, PastorSBC (& Mexdeaf & Dr. Bob). Great article! I love Criswell's little quote, "All originality and no plagiarism makes a dull preacher."

Since July--I've been preaching a series I've called
"The BBBD!!"
Basic Baptist Bible Doctrine
Too many times us "Bab-batist" are accused of not knowing Bible Doctrine!---well, my church has no excuse after this series ends. Those who "hung in there" will know what it takes to "give account" of the hope that is in them---those who didn't "hang in there" won't know "diddlely!!"
Sunday nites---Footsteps of Jesus through the book of Mark
Wednesday nites---Hebrews 11---we've been on the chapter for a year now!!
Plus a number of other things. I have been told that he was great with children and listening to those who had a conflict with him.Originally posted by John of Japan:
Seems like I heard once that W. A. Criswell built his church on expository preaching.
In a sense isn't it all plagiarism if we do not give glory to God? We cannot take any credit for any of God's word.Originally posted by John of Japan:

No we cannot take credit for the WORD but man does take credit for outlines, ideas, illustrations, poems, applications, etc. That is not stealing from God's glory.Originally posted by gb93433:
