I don't check in here often anymore for two reasons:
!.
It seems to have been taken over by "ultras", meaning ultra Calvinists, ultra fundamentalists, ultra YEC, etc.
That brings so much vitriol with anyone who might have a difference of opinion on whatever the topic is that it is unbecoming conduct for Christians.
2.
Maybe this is just me, but I just sooooo unimpressed with fighting to the death over minutia of theology while folks die without Christ.
So I now take most of the time I used to use on forums down at the "fishing hole" aka McD's for coffee, chatting and hopefully evangelizing and counselling others to look to Jesus.

Hello, Kyredneck - and Hank and all the rest. I cannot speak for others, but my main reason has been that it just seemed repetitive. From my perspective, it just felt like playing Whack-a-mole. I got tired of repeating the same thing again and again. But I shouldn't be that way.
Another reason was the distraction of being here in China. Things are changing in a big way. How shall I say this? Things are getting prickly. I am the only one among the foreign teachers in the hall who has not been hauled to the police for some infraction, real or imagined.
But I do intend to post more here. Of course, the last time I wrote that my Internet connection went Pffft! for a long time.
Hi Tom, as a fellow resident of China I readily identify with a lot of the above.
I haven't been able to log in for a long time. But I haven't tried to more than a few times per week.
Good to see you posting.
