Would it be a Requirement to believe these ways about Bible in order to be
A Poster on the BB
Would this rate right there with truths like Virgin Birth, trinity, Second Coming etc as "essentials" of the Faith?
From the original thread
wasn't this the Bible of the reformers and Reformation, and used by translators of the KJV?
Directed towards those of KJVO group..
Why not say Geneva Bible was "inspired: as much, maybe more so than KJV and that Bible as the one for Church today?

I have been surprised to see that Hyper-Preterists are allowed to post on this board. I have arrived only recently and claim absolutely no authority here, but I will say that if I were a Moderator I would ban discussion of Hyper-Preterism in the same way and for the same reason that 'Millennial Exclusion' has been banned.
I am a convinced Amillennialist, but I regard any eschatalogical view as orthodox so long as it teaches a coming Christ.

"Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water." - John 5:2-3
Did you ever notice this little description from the Apostle John? "There is in Jerusalem... a pool." "In these lay...sick people."
In both cases John is describing a scene...
While as far back as the mid-1800s, textual critics had a natural sense of the value of the quantity as well as the quality of witnesses to the text, the concept wasn't put on firm mathematical ground until it was faced squarely by Wilber F. Pickering in his book, The Identity of the NT Text (Nelson, 1977/80), in an Appendix C, "The Implications of Statistical Probability...", actually written by Zane/David Hodges. This book is freely available for viewing and download on Pickering's...
