Predestinated to Faith in Christ !
Eph 1:5
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Predestinated us unto the Adoption of Children !
Many of the Lord's adversaries of the Gospel of Truth will tell us that there are no scriptures that tell us that people have been predestinated to Faith in Christ ! Well that is absolutely false, for Eph 1:5 informs us of that exact thing, by stating " Having predestinated us unto the adoption of... -
Billy Graham Organization's Hypocrisy
A news story came out last week referencing the Billy Graham Organization taking down Mormonism as a cult on its website shortly after a meeting with Mitt Romney.
Will this affect BG's legacy? Will this hypocrisy be a stumbling block for the lost?

A Glossary of Translation Terms
I've been thinking for quite some time of working on a glossary of Bible translation terms here on the BB. It would include definitions of various theories and styles, various tools and methods, related terms from linguistics, and so forth.
The definitions can be your own or quoted from a book or other source. There can be more than one definition for each term--feel free to add your own or definitions from other sources. Also, if you don't understand a definition, feel free to ask... -

Free offer of the Gospel?
I went out of town for a few days and lost traction on the "two calls" thread. I want to pick up a part of that thread for discussion.
The free will position teaches that sinful man is capable of responding positively to the Gospel call because God has imparted the ability to do so. As a result it is the opinion of certain theologians (of which I am one) that this belief is contrary to the doctrine that man is completely fallen in his nature and incapable of any positive act of faith... -
another pov on the mistaken rapture view
In another restricted thread we are being given a classic pre-mill teaching on the church that many have found fault with....we can talk about it here":
This error was posted and is believed in many places today.

Nagging Question
A question ocurred to me yesterday and has been nagging me since.
Was Christ ever sick? Colds, flu, stomach bugs, that sort of thing. Scripture says that He was well acquainted with sorrows, but I'm not sure if illness would fit in with that. I know of no other place where It might be mentioned.
I'm sure that the better theologically-educated will think this a stupid question, but I'd like to think that I'm not to proud to ask.
Thanks. -
The Anatomy of Divine Quickening
Eph. 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
To "quicken" is to make alive something that is dead. In regard to physically alive human beings to be "quickened" (Eph. 2:1) refers to their SPIRITUAL STATUS as "dead in tresspasses and sins."
What does that mean - "dead in tresspasses and sins"? It cannot mean they are PHYSICALLY dead in tresspasses and sins or that they... -
