Who Has A Mental Illness???
Do "some" of you folks realize that souls are being saved in Churches for which we don't agree with? That hold different doctrines and beliefs?
Yeah..., amazing, huh? Yes, our Lord can work where ever He wants to without any assistance from us! That's just mind boggling, isn't it? God Does Not Need Our Assistance! He gets along just fine!
(Upsetting? Just take a couple of aspirin and rest a bit. It will pass)
There are people coming to know the Lord in churches who really... -
Godlical Christians and Biblical Christians of today
1. Godlical Christians are those who hear, learn, and follow things of God (Godhood, salvation and eternal life, spiritual needs, commandments of God, etc.)from God Himself (The Lord Jesus Christ in the realm of His existence) through and by His own means of communication with them.
2. Biblical Christians are those who hear, learn, and follow things of God (Godhood, salvation and eternal life, spiritual needs, commandments of God, etc.)by and through what they read and understand from... -

Fundamental View of Faith
Most Christian fundamentalists would claim to believe in the principle of "faith alone" i.e Grace + faith = Salvation + works.
But what do fundamentalists think faith looks like? First, are fallen natural people able to seek God and trust in Christ, or must they be "given" faith via irresistible grace?
What criteria does God use, according to scripture, to choose to credit a person's faith in Christ as righteousness?
Would the faith be lip service faith, i.e. dead faith, or... -
The Mental Illness/Sin Threads
Can someone bring me up to speed on FAL's contentions? Is FAL saying that being mentally ill is a sin? Taking medication to control the illness is a sin? What's the deal?
I've not been reading the threads and since there are so many of them I would like a Reader's Digest condensed version. -
Let's clear up one misconception
There have been many threads about mental illness lately, and i seem to be the central object of them. FAL, Steadfastfred, and his wife have stated many times that I am hiding behind a drug to cover up my sin.
Let me clarify this. I lived for 50 years with undiagnosed mental illness. I went to Bible College and dropped out. I had a former marriage that failed, and my Social Security record lists over 180 jobs since 1980.
Yes, i was very unstable, and I still struggle today to... -
My take on Andy Stanley and Emergent pastors
I watched Andy's final sermon on the eight sermon series titled "Christian". I was kind of hoping to hear him explain his comments from the previous sermon where he sort of redefined the modern family, but I was disappointed. However I truly did like most of what Andy said on this sermon and the other sermons I listened to in this series.
Here is my take on Andy. I feel he is very similar to Rick Warren and many of the Emergent preachers in this way: He always seems to be painting a... -
Apology to BB member
Kit, while I in no way agree with your beliefs nor what I perceive as your intentions I do want to apologize to you for the evil attacks and willful attempts to get you into trouble with the Mods that has been waged towards you by so many on this board. This kind of behavior has nothing to do with Christ, but comes only from pure evil.
While I am not interested in playing games with you I would at any time be willing to discuss the truth with you and help you see what the bible really... -
Women of God.
1 Timothy, Chapter 2
11:Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12:But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
[insulting and offensive remark]
Besides I would not want any man talking to my wife unless it is the Spirit of God talking to her through them. -
