Matt 1:21 He Shall save His People
Matt 1:21
21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Scripture could not be plainer than this, as to whom Jesus Christ was born to save from their sins, whom He is a Saviour to, His People !
Not the whole world of mankind, for many of them are not His People, but the devils children, the children of the wicked one Matt 13:38-39
38The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares... -
What about Rom 10:9-10 ?
Rom 10:9-10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
This passage here is not Paul setting forth any conditions man must meet in order to get saved, but merely is he declaring a certain fact, those who receive the Testimony of the Gospel, in this context the jews,... -
Enmity Against God
Rom. 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Just recently this board experienced a very vivid illustration of the proof of this very text. A lost man came on this board displaying exactly what this text describes about every single lost person who comes into this world.
The lost man may vary in the intensity of his "enmity" against God. This "enmity" may be expressed RELIGIOUSLY and through DEVOUT... -
Are all Fundamental baptist churches KJO?
I used to be a member of an independant fundamental baptist church. I really liked the preaching but got tired of the constant bashing of other churches for using other bible translations. They even taught the kids a song that goes "The B- I -B- L -E but not the NIV, yes thats the book for me...."
Are all fundamental churches King James Only? -
The New Covenant for New Creatures Isaiah 59:20-21 - The Gospel according to Isaiah
The New Covenant for New Creatures
Isaiah 59:20-21 - The Gospel according to Isaiah & Paul
Some Bible topics are hard to write about because they are obscure and based on difficult Scripture. Others -like this topic - are also hard to write about, but for a different reason: The topic is a rich one. The temptation to overflow the outline is a real one. In fact this very passage has its own inspired commentary, Romans 11:25-36. Paul, combing over this very theme of the New Covenant,... -
Does the grace Of God cover ALL Under "Age of Accountibility/"
As regards to children, those young in other religion, athestic children etc?
That the Cross of Yeshua has the means to save them?
If they die before age only God knows accountible personally to Him? -
What does this statement mean?
Biblicist said this in the thread The Freewill Invitation system is a False Gospel.
Biblicist:"Your question makes no sense! Trying to answer your question only makes a fool out of God OR the one asking such a question. If God elected someone like Jeremiah (Jer. 1:5) before he was born and ordained him to be a prophet then the one who chose him is also the one who gave him physical life/birth and the one who preserved him from death to accomplish His purpose or else his words are... -

Mental illness and the Baptist Chuch
How do we, as good, Bible believing Baptists, place judgment on people with mental illnesses when it is no fault of the ill person at all?
A mental illness is no different from having MS or diabetes.
But yet, I hear so many "good" Baptists making snide remarks about mentally ill people.
I was born with a mental illness that I receive disability for. I worked for 35 years but when i got into my 50's my condition was so severe that i could not work anymore. A couple of people on the... -
After Church Crowd at Restaurants
I observed something Friday night at a chain restaurant that confirms what we have had threads before about. As I walked away from what I saw, I could not help but ponder why. There was a lot of shouting, screaming and arguing coming from one of the small sections of the restaurant that was not being used. (no, it was not a Baptist Board reunion) The meeting was several waitresses and their boss. These waitresses were having a knock down, drag out about who had to cover the shift...
