Pastor: 'New Calvinists' Lack Passion for Holiness, Missions
Pastor Says New Calvinism Giving Short Shrift to Missions
Conference speaker suggested the 'monergism' notion has inspired scruples against human effort in personal holiness and evangelization.
Another speaker noted how they were tragically neglecting global missions. -
Is it a sin to think evil thoughts?
This seems like an obvious question but a author got me thinking about this one in his book on Spiritual Warfare. The author gave a example of a grandmother whom had thoughts of killing a child. The pastor said that these thoughts were not her own, but thoughts that a devil planted in her. This and several other examples and Biblical verses cited made me think that not all thoughts are our own. What do you say?
Thanks,

Do they know what their leaders condone?
I can't believe the membership of the largest denomination in the U.S.A. continues to attend if they know that the leadership teaches an abused spouse should stay, pray and though the abuse will get worse, pray more!

would God be eternal to them?
An dwould they see the future as being unknown to even God?
if so, how do we know the end will be as we think it will be, per the bible?
How can we be sure that God "wins out in the end" if Open theist? -
The Son of God and our sin nature … wow!
Christians believe the Word (the Logos) is the Second Person of the Triune Godhead,
and that it was this Logos who came to earth and became flesh (Jesus Christ).
“… the Word was God … and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:1-14).
“God was manifested in the flesh” (1 Timothy 3:16).
“That Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:35).
But, how could GOD actually be the Son of someone … even the Son of God?
This drove me crazy for a while, because I... -
No Condemnation to those in Christ Jesus !
Rom 8:1
1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Believers did not know it until they had it revealed to them by The Spirit.
There has never been anyone in Christ who God condemns. Just exactly when are those Christ died for, begin to be in Christ Jesus ?
Well in the Reckoning and Purpose of God, they were in Christ Jesus before the World began, when Grace was given them in Him then 2 Tim 1:9... -
What about Liars?
Will liars enter into eternal life? -
Repentance
What is repentance, and can one fail to repent and yet enter into a hope of eternal life?
