That description reminds me of Maul's BBQ sauce.

My guess would be "Danish" means small. Years ago I would get "Danish tails" which was small Icelandic lobster.

Several menu items include "our own BBQ sauce", so maybe it is local SC mustard style bbq.

Good question. How can we even discuss what is the best BBQ, when we don't even know how to define it! Here's one guy who says it is in the smoke:
    What Is Barbecue?
The Daily Meal seems to agree:
    What Is Barbecue?
You wouldn't half to search long to find people to disagree with this, though.

Barbecue is a town in North Carolina. A few miles up the road from my home. The Presbyterian Church is still there, one of the oldest in the state.

But do they have good barbecue?
Saturday my wife cooked some "country style ribs" in the oven. They were coated with a BBQ style dry rub, and she made a BBQ sauce to go with them. Nevertheless, according to Meathead Goldwyn (above link) they are not BBQ (they're also not really ribs) since they were not cooked over smoke (unless you count that our LP gas oven does smoke a bit).

No restaurants, pretty much just an intersection, not even a stop light. I'm sure if I knocked on some doors in that area they could produce some legit BBQ.
