I don't have a problem with banning someone from a particular church if someone has been extremely disruptive. I don't believe in saying "You are no longer a Baptist, or a Pentecostal, or a Methodist." They can easily say "Stop it" & tell them to go elsewhere if they are going to continue to distract people during the worship service. A church like any other home is considered to be private property.
All I was saying was that you can't remove someone completely from a denomination. If your views aren't that of the denomination you are with, then find one that suits you & don't be disruptive.
Being 'excommunicated' simply means the person can no longer partake in the Sacraments. They can still attend Mass, bible studies...ect. If I'm not mistaken they are still 'Roman Catholic'. They can still repent and eventually be brought back into full status of the Church.
