    Howdy!

We're still here in South GA. There's a storm brewin' with the weather. Not Boiling yet, just brewin, (wind picking up, expecting the thunder rumbles soon, and of course some rain.)

That fish we thought was about to croak Sun night is still goin' strong. It does like to stay in the path of the air bubbles most of the time.

The wind is Really blowing here too. Already took care of our front storm door. Snatched it off the pnumatic arm so I had to use a heavy wooden crate to hold it shut.
I'm turning BH loose a little early so I can go to bed early. I've got her rocker in the other corner tonite but she's been acting like she'll be up awhile so tread carefully!!
Well hope everyone has a good evening & I'll come by in the morning & collect my little furball.

Ordinary day here. I was so busy doing nothing, the day passed with hardly any notice. I am just enjoying being alive and well. God is so good. I look out the window and marvel at His handiwork in land and in the sky. I am in awe as I sit by my window, book in hand, but mind somewhere else.

Nevermind, you will be old one day too............

    Cheers,

    Jim

    I'm signing off for tonight.

We won't get any 'definite' results about Levi for at least a week, but from what the doctors said today (about his muscle reactions) from the 'EMG', he probably has the type of MD that they suspected.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers today and ROB, I will be praying for that precious baby.

    Pleasant dreams all!

As long as you can still be awed you will never grow old. Thanks, Jim, for a beautiful image to start my day!! [IMG]

    The way a crow
    Shook down on me
    The dust of snow
    From a hemlock tree

    Has given my heart
    A change of mood
    And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.

    Good morning all,

I have been up for a while, but my cable was shut down for maintenance and it just came back on.

We have a busy day planned. Besides school work, we have to make a run to Mt. Pulaski to pick up something from FreeCycle, go to Wal-Mart, stop by the grocery store, and we are having company this afternoon. Whew! I'm tired already! [IMG]

I think I'll get Brent up a little early so we can get Wal-Mart and the groceries out of the way BEFORE we start school...

    HAGD!

Watch out for Walmart Sue! I did Walmart and groceries yesterday and ended up spending nearly $175! And that was mostly just for breakfast and lunch stuff. Could not believe it.

Jim, what a wonderful moment to share with everyone!

    Good morning folks!

The rain ended late yesterday evening and then it turn COLD! Woke up to ice and frost everywhere and very bright sunshine. All our car doors were frozen shut when I went out to start them. Got in one door on each car and started them defrosting and then left them for about 10 minutes and went to take the girls to school and they still hadn't thawed! Precious had to get in the passenger side and push the driver door open. Bitsy tried opening the back door on the driver's side it wouldn't open. I sent her around to the passenger side to get in. About halfway to school the open door light comes on. The door Bitsy tried to open had thawed out and was hanging by the lock.

Poor Son is still hiding out in the dark, trying to get rid of his migraine. I believe he is just a tad better today, but worried that he has something else going on. He is complaining of a sore throat and was running a low grade fever yesterday evening. Precious has begun to have migraines as well, but hers are much easier to deal with(or maybe she is just older and handles them better).

Since I did all the running around yesterday, today should be pretty quiet. Gonna straighten the house a bit and sew some. I just have to reduce the stacks of fabric I've collected here lately. I'm running out of room!

    Hi everybody!,
    Quick update on Baby Sean.

He came thru the surgery okay, and is on a respirator right now. They hope to wean him off the respirator maybe by late today, or tomorrow. He still isn't moving his little legs yet though. We'll post an update as soon as we have some news.

Hospital is about 50 miles away from us. We came home for a change of clothes, showers, and something to eat, then heading back to the hospital.

A big THANK YOU for all the prayers, and concern. You will never know how much they mean to us.

    Rob

    Good morning!

The secret to frozen doors is to spread some vaseline on the door rubbers. It doesn't freeze, doesn't harm the car and works.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim; Vaseline is good, but I try to keep a spray can of WD-40 handy for the rubber around the car doors and also the key holes...

Rob; Glad to hear that Sean came through surgery all right and just prayed that he will start kicking his little legs soon.

Cindi; We don't have a Super Wal-Mart so I don't buy my groceries there. I didn't make it to the grocery store, but I spent $106.00 at Wal-Mart!

Vaseline or WD-40, huh? I'll have to try that. Honestly though, I've only ever had this happen a handful of times. I guess cause I live where it's warm! :D Today it was back to almost 60 by noon and tomorrow is going to be even warmer.

PTL! My heatpump decided to work again, with my having to call the repairman(again) and spending another $100. Dumb thing has an internal switch that gets stuck on air ocassionally when we have to switch back and forth between them. Last week it was so warm we had to use the air a couple of days and that did it. Air when we wanted heat. Then I tried it again this evening and it works fine. Just wanted to scare me I guess.

Sue, what I spent yesterday doesn't count what I spent over the weekend on non-groceries and sick kid stuff. We don't want to go there. Good thing the heat pump fixed itself.

    Good evening!

Guess we're just not meant to have fish. The little feller croaked overnight. I think the water got too cold. We had the heat pump totally off, and I got up between 5:30 and 6:00 to turn the heat on, 'cause it was cold in this here house. .

menagerie, I'm gonna put y'all on my everyday prayer list, your young-uns seem to be sick alot lately. . .

Gayla, Goldfish survive up here in Canada in outdoor ponds all winter under the ice. They are very rugged fish. I would suggest there is an oxygen problem in your water. Tropical fish can't stand cold water or rapid changes in temperature. When a fish is starving for oxygen, the first sign is floating on their sides....often times they flip the tail and suck rather rapidly before they die.

Do you have an oxygen pump in your tank? The water heater should be controlled by thermostat and left alone to reach one given temperature.

JUst some thoughts. It has been some years since I kept tropical fish, so I am not the most knowledgeable.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good morning all,

My IBS settled down during the night. I am feeling fine this morning. PTL!

It is supposed to be 52º by this afternoon. This weather is really wacky. I don't mind missing winter except (as much as I dislike snow) I was hoping we would get enough to offset the drought. It doesn't look like it...

Am off to fix hubby's lunch since he is going in early this morning.

    Good morning everyone,

It's 47 degrees here. It was 23 here yesterday and Vivian had to call in. The roads were icy from all the rainfall the two previous days and then the quickly falling temps. The creeks just up the road both went over their banks and we thought we were going to have flooding conditions here, though we're not in the 100 year flood plain. The road was covered and so were the two bridges that lead out to the main roads. Glad it's over. It finally reached almost 55 here yesterday afternoon. It's supposed to reach into the mid to upper 60's here today.

I was in bed most of yesterday with mild to moderate vertigo. But, I lived through it just like I do every time it happens. Just have to keep a positive outlook on the situation.

Sue, too to know your IBS is settled down.

I talked to my birth father the other day and I have to say that the family is getting more wacky than ever. Please, keep them in your prayers. My birth father used to be a Pentecostal preacher, but is now an agnostic. The rest of the family seems to be falling apart at the seams including the grandkids.

Other's who have mentioned requests here, I'm praying. God bless you.

    Bro. T

    Good morning all.
Glad you're feeling better, Sue. (But how can anyone dislike snow? [IMG] )
Hope all those under the weather get to feeling better soon.
Nothing much going on. Cold weather, school all day.
    Take care all
