Have you lost what mind you had Joseph? The apology is due from you to me for coming in and attacking me to start with for comparing John Calvin to God and for saying Jesus killed people. Now You already been put in your box so just stay there. We almost had this thing behind us too and now on His way to bed He throws in another dagger. Jeeprs, Calvinism.

Jn 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. -

Joseph came to where I was posting and posted all of this and said the following which He says in comparison to Calvin having killed
HMMMMMM? Did God ever kill anyone? Do you believe Jesus is God? Or do you, like many liberal theologians such as Spong and Borg discount the parts of the Bible that reveal the God of wrath because it doesn't make us feel good about him?
Now it is plain enough for a 3 year old to see that is comparing John Calvin to God and Jesus!!

I quoted more of that statement than I meant to. (admitted he made a mistake here) I was not comparing Calvin with God, but correcting your theological error that you never saw Jesus going around killing anyone.
You will notice in his introduction on this thread that He even changed the above to say Jesus was God when in fact He didn't say that in his post above.

Then Joseph started this thread to start on me again and in the following statement he calls me a liar to which I thought was against BB rules. He says I owe him an apology for the truth and here is the proof.
Brother Bob made the statement that he had never seen Jesus go around killing anyone. I corrected his theological error by stating that since Jesus was God, that he had indeed killed many people. I was then accussed of justifying the murders of Calvin by this. This is not true. I argued that God was fully righteous in all his judgments while Calvin was not as a sinner, (not true)
Now, if this thread is shut down I will carry the blame but when Joseph signed off tonight after starting this thread which is a personally attack against me and calling me a liar. He said He was going to bed and if I wanted to apoligize I could pm him which is a deliberate attemp to stir up hard feelings again but I know I will get the blame. As a matter of fact, I guarnatee that some of the Calvinist will post after this blaming me. So that is the story. Joseph is not man enough to admit He made a mistake and I could bring those post here where I asked Him to just drop all of it but He wouldn't and still hasn't.
Even tonight after all this I offered Joseph my hand and put all this behind us but He was interested.
Now, Joseph;
I offer my hand in friendship and put all this behind us. Do you accept?:flower:__________________

As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. -

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

I love you anyway Joseph_Botwinick even though you bear false witness against me.
Matt.05
44: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45: That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46: For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? -

copy and paste them on here please npet; where I said murder

So you are justifying Joseph's refusal for fellowship? I would much rather defend a man who is sincerely in love with the Lord who either took something the wrong way, or is wrong, than to defend someone with a hateful attitude. Is "mis" speaking the same thing as lying? If you "mispoke", is it justified to be called a liar? I think not.
-
I copied the quote above from the countless repetitions of your defense, Bob, spelling errors and all.
I apologize, Joseph, for claiming that you called Jesus a murderer. You did not call Jesus a murderer, so I can see why you are claiming that I lied. In addition, the word "murder" is a very loaded term, and I apologize for using it. I misspoke when I said that.
What I meant to say was that you called Jesus someone who killed people. I can see that the root of our misunderstanding is that we differ on our opinions of who Jesus is when we refer to the name "Jesus". I consider any reference to Jesus as being Jesus, God incarnate, the God/man who was born and crucified here on earth. You're talking about Jesus, part of the trinity, who shares the responsibility of the entire trinity. I was simply saying that Jesus, when he was here on earth incarnate, did not kill anyone. I understand that what you're saying is that Jesus, being an equal part of the trinity, is just as responsible for killing people in righteous judgement as any other part of the trinity. I also know that Jesus will return in wrath and kill people.
See? Easy as pie, if you have courage and humility. -
Stated by Joseph as being the acutal post and you will see he started trying to cover his tracks by adding "Jesus was God" so as to be able to say when God drowned the Egyptians.
This is how he starts this thread off.
I corrected his theological error by stating that since Jesus was God, that he had indeed killed many people.
Actual Post of Joseph you will see that Joseph said Jesus and only Jesus going around killing anyone was a theological error on my part.
This is the actual post on the other thread that was shut down.
but correcting your theological error that you never saw Jesus going around killing anyone.
This is where nept; said that Jesus never killed anyone on the thread that was shut down.
Jesus (in the flesh) didn't kill anyone as far as we know,
I never called Joseph a liar for doing this which is obviously saying it different that what it actually was to help his case. Even though I caught it as soon as I read it. -
Post # 137 is where you claimed Joseph called Jesus a murder [sic].

All of this is making each one involved seem mighty immature.

I apologize for not shutting down this Christological food fight earlier.
If you have personal differences, please settle them elsewhere, not on the open board. And do not
