See there - Im not disputing that sinful man cant do wordly good - oh lets use Princess Dianna (assuming she was not a Christian) - she did much worldly good - she also did much evil
the point is the good works she did count for nothing - her righteousness was as filthy rags - since her good deeds were based in improper motives - thus they are not good but evil - however they are technically not sin - since Im also assuming she honestly did try and do good without ulterior motives.
The only motive that is acceptable is that of honouring God.
Simple
When you do that; you do good in the eyes of God
When you dont; it is not good; but it may not be sin
Grace through faith, works or a combination
