The fact that 25 million people have believed this stuff still has me scratching my head. -
2. The Millerites discovered the connection with the sanctuary in heaven teaching the same day after the Oct 22, 1844 and Ellen White (who was in fact the teenage Ellen Harmon at that time) was not a prophet and had nothing to do with that discovery. Several months later the teen Ellen Harmon had a vision about saints going to heaven but that vision said nothing about the sanctuary doctrine explaining the disappointment.

That vision described the second coming but did not give any explanation at all about the Oct 22,1888 prediction or about the heavenly sanctuary where Christ is now ministering as our high priest. You simply "made that up". Her first vision as a teen was given months after the October 22 event but the explanation for that event first came from Hiram Edson on October 23, 1844 not from Ellen Harmon.
