You are behind in the news.
The reason for the Yale woman is that witnesses appeared to say that the Finestein woman was lying.
Now witnesses have appeared to say that the Yale woman is lying.
So we are awaiting new accusations from the porn lawyer.
Possibly. I work for a living. However, I do know where things stood last night.
That's why there needs to be an independent investigation instead of simply having a drama of accusations and counter-accusations on television. Many people simply line up according to how they want it to turn out. The public has only heard second-hand testimony from the alleged victims. It is way too soon to draw conclusions.
Again, let's have the FBI investigate instead of just watching the news and biased pundits.
Really now? There is nothing new under the sun my friend. I was a young partier in the 80's and the gang I ran with highly respected women. There has always been evil doers, has nothing to do with the 80's. And you want an FBI investigation? Do you really think that would satisfy the Dems? You know even with the FBI nothing would be found and you know the Dems care nothing about facts or who does the investigating. They already said months ago it mattered not who was put up for judge, they were going to resist, resist, resist. They are indeed a very evil party, maybe at one time they had some dignity pre 80's, but they have devolved horribly ever since Roe v Wade and I don;t even see how a Christian can be part of such a party as it has become today.
Of course there is nothing new under the sun, but the early 1980s was the tail end of the sexual revolution of the 1960s-1970s, before AIDS changed some attitudes. I know women who were raped and assaulted in that era. I also know some of the men who did it.
It would satisfy me, potentially clear the name of Kavanaugh, and demonstrate that Republicans are actually interested in the truth and take sexual abuse against women (and men) seriously.
I don't know that and neither do you.
Then this is a good opportunity to expose their hypocrisy. At this point, only Republican hypocrisy has been exposed.
I don't agree with that position, but it is understandable since the Republicans prevented the previous administration from even having his Supreme Court nominee considered. After that disgraceful episode, Republicans don't have any moral standing to complain about the Democrats.
There is much evil in both parties. Moreover, we have a President who bragged of sexual assault and has, at last count, 19 allegations of sexual assault against him. So it is no wonder that Republicans are not too interested in taking women seriously. The Democrats used to be the ones like that with their moral blindness toward Bill Clinton, but now the moral blindness is a bi-partisan affair. Sadder still are those who claim the name of Jesus not taking allegations of sexual assault seriously.
I don't see how a Christian can claim either the Republican or Democratic Party at this point. We need to call both to account and into repentance. If we are not salt and light, we are worthless.
The FBI already turned down the claim. They aren't going to investigated no matter how much liberals would like that to happen so as to delay the confirmation. Good grief.
I know you have been reporting that information, but the President is in charge of the FBI. The FBI is at the disposal of the Executive Branch to do background investigations. They don't get to "turn down" requests from the President to do background investigations.
What's the rush? Scalia's seat went vacant for most of a year because of the will of the Republican leadership to deny Obama's candidate a fair hearing.
You've been promising a "red wave" in a little over a month, so there's no risk.
No, it's not as simple as you claim. President Trump or Chuck Grassley could asked them to do that. That gives them "jurisdiction." They can take sworn statements from alleged victims and witnesses, as well as attempt to nail down specific details of the allegations.
I think they are potentially credible -- being the same age as Kavanaugh, knowing the party culture of the early 1980s, knowing prep school culture, knowing how easy alcohol was to get in high school in the 1980s, and knowing the attitudes toward the pursuit of sexual conquests (any way they could be had) in teen male culture of the time.
In Maryland until 1982, the minimum drinking age was 18. In 1982, it was raised to 21 with those previously able to drink grandfathered in until they turned 21. So that result was a lot of alcohol-fueled parties with serious consequences for many.
I happen to know a number of teen girls who were assaulted and/or raped during that time in similar ways. I urged a few of them to report their assaults, but they refused to do it knowing that the consequences of reporting the rape would seemingly be worse than just living with it. It would expose a seamy underside of teen life to public scrutiny, and they would be shamed and shunned for it. In that era, much like today, there was a "boys will be boys" attitude about such things, and girls were blamed for letting themselves get into that situation instead of holding the boys accountable.
Who said anything about it being "a federal crime?" It is a background investigation. They do those all the time. I have been interviewed for FBI background investigations on other people on three occasions.
What does that have to do with anything. How many times have Bill and Hillary Clinton been investigated? Plenty of people around here are calling for them to be investigated again. I think you are one of those people.
That's where an FBI investigation can be quite helpful. It could narrow down or even pinpoint the possible dates of the alleged attack.
They have no jurisdiction. President Trump could ask them to investigate the Tooth Fairy. Both investigations would be equally pointless and an equal waste if time. The FBI has been working in Russian Collusion for how long now? This is nothing but damnable stalling tactics put forth by Godless heathens who desire with every fiber of their beings to continue murdering babies. It appals me that "Christians" go along with their demonic agenda.
If there were a shred of credibility here, it would be one thing. This is clearly nothing more than the demons of hell mobilizing their minions to keep murder of the unborn alive and well in the USA.
