You all know: Democrats are pro-homosexuality, anti-religion, pro-pornography...etc. So how can a Christian in his right mind vote Democrat?

"Should Christians be REPUBLICAN?"
No. Republicans should be CHRISTIAN. -

It has been rightly said, I believe, that in espousing themselves to the pro-homosexual and pro-choice movements, the democratic party has abandoned the God-fearing and otherwise moral democrats. These things weren't in their charter at the beginning.
So if a person is democratic in philosophy, they should remain so, working to bring the party back from where they have gone. -

Excerpt From George Washington's Farewell Address:
Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party, generally.
This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists, under different shapes, in all governments, more of less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.
The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later, the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty.
Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.
It serves always to distract the Public Councils, and enfeeble the Public Administration. It agitates the Community with ill founded jealousies and false alarms; kindles the animosity of one part against another; foments, occasionally, riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which find a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another.
From their natural tendency, it is certain there will always be enough of that spirit for every salutary purpose. And, there being constant danger of excess, the effort ought to be, by force of public opinion, to mitigate and assuage it. A fire not to be quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into a flame, lest, instead of warming, it should consume.
A careful reading of Washington's warning should convince anyone of its merits, because virtually everything he warned against has come to pass. The two major parties have become an end and aim of themselves, and people blindly loyal to them tend to constantly compromise the principles of liberty in order to obtain victory for the party. The result of this lack of vision and purpose is a willingness to promote that which is bad for the country in preference for what is deemed good for the party. -
I.M.O. YES!!!

No, although some may vote for Republicans

No. Republicans are for the rich. Jesus always seemed to be for the common man because it's "easier for a camel to pass through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter heaven." Democrats are for providing food, education, and equal opportunity for the poor, all ideas that Jusus would have supported.
-
Jesus did not and would not have supported the social welfare programs of the Democratic party. He gave clear teaching on caring for the poor and he did not give that job to the government. To conscript Jesus for the Democratic Party is certainly an uninformed opinion (speaking of education). -
I don't really like either party.
Christians should not try to make the Republicans a "Christian party" because all politics is corrupt. We have to work through the system as citizens and I'm all for that (and for voting), but politics is part of the fallen world. Politics is about compromise and sneaky deals and image. That's pretty much all it is. -
God gives us minds. We can evaluate the candidates and platforms and see which would be in best conformity with the moral principles of the Word.
I was a Democrat in the 60-70's when the conservative Suthran "Dixiecrats" were in vogue. Democrats are not ALL like Teresa Heinz Kerry or Hillary. -
As far as I'm concerned, i will never vote for anyone or any party that endorses abortion.
The Democratic party also has several other "planks" in their platform that I find offensive, wasteful, and down-right ungodly.
Am I a Republican? Yes. Will I always vote Republic? Who knows, but it will not be Democrat.

Should Christians be REPUBLICAN?
Certainly not, I for one support the monarchy.
You know God, Country and Royal Family. -
I remember a Beatrix (not the one who wrote Peter Rabbit). Was that your queen?
We Americans know NOTHING about European royalty or the entire mindset. The only "King" we have is Elvis! -
If the libatarian party would come around to classify abortion as murder then I would vote libatarian. Party seems divided over it right now though I would classify it as pro-choice over all.
-
I don't know much about the libatarian party but I personally find it hard to comprehend a Christian voting for anyone in any party which is overwhelmingly pro-abortion.
Of course, I believe that idealogy defines the democratic party.
I believe there are some republicans who would vote for such a thing but they are either silent or always a minorty.

Neither the Christian nor non-Christian should not be prejudged or persecuted because of his/her political affiliation.
-
I am amazed that we even consider combining "Christian" with a political label.

You need to vote for the candidates that line up best with the things that are important to us as believers. It seems right now, that the GOP, on the whole, does that...but that may change.
Abortion and issues of stem cell research and homosexual "marriage" are vital to what we believe. The means by which tax breaks occur and homeless are fed, jobs are given to umemployed, etc., are LESS important...because everyone agrees those should be done, this disagreement is on HOW.
I will never vote for a pro-abortion candidate....even if he is republican. I would hope that all believers feel the same way.
