I see I goofed again, in post #80, and I can no longer edit that post.
Here is what I mistakenly said:
"Teleioō" (G5048) is another verb form of our word "teleo" and has the same three basic meanings, finish or complete, perform or accomplish and pay. If "finish" is used for teleo, then complete can be used for Teleloo. In those usages where full development is indicated, consummate works well. The problem is Teleioo is only used for two, not three meanings in scripture, and never means "pay."
If the translation uses "finish" and "perfom" for Teleo, then "consummate" and "accomplish" could be used for Telelioo.
2Co 12:9 (KJV)Here "teleioo" would be better translated as consummated.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

ISV, LEB, NASB, CSB all have "perfected in weakness."
CEB, NABRE, NET, ESV, NIV, NKJV, NRSV, WEB all have "made perfect in weakness."
The outlier is from MOUNCE "fulfilled in weakness."
Consummated is not on the radar of any translation on Biblegateway. -
The problem with "made perfect" is that it is ambiguous, Is the idea brought to completion, or made flawless. Consummate refers unambiguously to something of several parts brought together as completed. The Lord's strength is consummated in weakness.
Note that the KJV translates about 7 different Greek words as perfect including G5046 and G5048 about 17 times apiece. :) -

Van doesn't like the words made perfect in many Bible translations. He would prefer to use words of his own without benefit of any scholarship.
Snips follow.

CSB : made complete in love
perfected in love : ESV, LEB, NASB, NET

'When someone charges a view as false, the question we must ask is
what is false?'
