The case was decided by the SCOTUS. What does that have to do with the Democrat Party? Five of the Justices are GOP Appointees.

This is a great victory for the Democrat Party, which has a history of being the party of the slaveholders and of Jim Crow and the KKK and of the abortionists. This great victory for the Democrat Party was shown by the rainbow-flag spotlights on the White House, once aloof from such partisanship but now trumpeting the message that s0d0my is normal.

It's the law of the land. All we can do is get used to it and pray and share God's word with people.

The American people might pass a constitutional amendment defining marriage as one man and one woman only.

It is just a question of time until the court will have to legalize polygamy.

But how many of those 37 states had the "privilege" of having liberal judges declare the people's majority vote, to keep marriage "one man - one woman", null and void??

(So much for "government of the people, by the people and for the people".) :BangHead:

1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

    Romans 13

It's a stunning loss for the GOP which is currently the party of James Crow, The KKK, domestic terrorists, and all things absent love. This stunning loss for the GOP was shown with followers of the FOX mother ship crying in the streets.

Not meaning to insult your intelligence. Have you read anything of Anabaptist history? My point is made therein.

Well I just realized another unintended consequences to this ruling. Concealed weapons permits should now be recognized in all 50 states. Of course the 2nd amendment already does that but a little reminder is always helpful.

Not terribly familiar with it which is possibly why we have a disconnect here. If we are at a theological impasse then I can certainly respect that.

I have not been able to find any culture that had same sex marriage equal to heterosexual marriage. I believe historically, marriage was held for hetero couples and homosexual relationships were separate and different.

From what I'm finding, it was pretty common in ancient Greece and Rome and Mesopotamia and parts of China.

That is a very good point. But we see that the Supreme Court can be very arbitrary as to which state's rights they are willing to overrule. For the moment they seem to be focused on cultural issues.

Well, I just believe that there's a lot that can affect our faith -- things that are not in our control.

Anyway, I never meant to offend you, so if I did, I am sorry for that.
