I generally will wear shorts when it gets warmer. Usually beginning in March. Around here, the temperature doesn't start dropping until about mid October or around the beginning of November.
When I decide to wear shorts, I mostly will wear them around the house. I also wear them if I am off work & heading to the store, I'll also wear shorts. I also occaisionally wear shorts when I am working on the weekends. You won't see me wearing shorts to church, a friend's house, or to work Monday through Friday.
Here in the DC area where most people, except for young people, dress very businesslike (you might say frumpy), shorts are not as common unless people are in their yards or at a pool or something.
I'm glad. I really don't want to see you all's ugly legs, especially above the knees!
I agree. As a Floridian, I think I speak for the entire state...
For all northerners...
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a little sun on those legs before you come down here and wear shorts. We really don't want to see those pasty white legs that have not seen any sun in 6 months.
PS -- Also, please remember you can wear you can wear sandals without your socks.
Just HOW are we to do that?
Yesterday was the first day above yucky cold this year and we HAD to wear shorts (it hit 92 degrees).
My pastey white legs looked nasty but now they sport a slightly pink hue.
:D
