Well this thread has left me so I leave it. I don't understand or believe any of this stuff.

Is that Harold Camping posting as Me4Him, or has Origen come back from the grave? And, no, I don't care if you consider Origen as having been dead or asleep.

Your ignorance doesn't prove me wrong. -
I have debated Muslims in the past. Some of them are able to quote Scripture. Do you align yourself with them because of their ability to quote Scripture? Quoting Scripture is not a distinctive of being a Baptist.

DHK </font>[/QUOTE]Let hear a little scripture interpretation/correction from ya'll, so far, all I've seen is "opinions", no scripture, no interpretations, no corrections. -
Isaiah 14:12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
From some time near Satan's inception his one main goal has been to attain godhood. Of course he will never succeed. There is only one God. But Satan has put in the minds of people from Eve, to Mormons, to WOF people like Benny Hinn and others, that they will be gods. This is absolute heresy.
Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Isaiah 43:10-11 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Isaiah 44:8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
1 Timothy 6:15-16 Jesus Christ Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
There is only one God! To say otherwise is blasphemy.
Adam never had a throne. He was created by God on the sixth day, and in the same day put in the Garden of Eden. Don't you bother to read your Bible?
God sits on His throne. In the millennial Kingdom, though we may rule with him, to suggest that we will rule as gods, is blasphemous. There is only one God. You are committing the same sin as Satan continues to do.

Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
If I'm going to have the "mind of Christ", thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Why?? it is God which worketh in you
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Applies to all "Sons of God".Click to expand...
When Jesus speaks in Jn. 10.34 (which was also posted by you but I left it out to keep this brief), it is a quote from Ps. 82.6 and it was a rebuke: "you are like gods but you will die like men." This was a reference to the judges that were supposed to dispense God's justice but had failed. Judges were were supposed to be God's representatives of His justice on earth. Jesus is saying if even these unjust judges can be called gods, then he certainly can be the Son of God. Jesus is in no way saying that men actually have a nature like God's. -
I think this thread has run 2-3 courses and now is into areas verging on heresy and certainly not baptistic theology.
Will cut this short. If someone would like to question the deity of Christ over in the Other religions forum, I think even the folks there would shame you.
Closed.
