Fredrick asked me this question in another thread and when I refused to give him a "yes or no" response and explained to him the difference between God's desire and his Sovereign unchanging decree, he mocked and ridiculed me as if I just didn't understand and as if I believed man is more powerful that God. He also implied that EVERYONE else understands his question without having to make the distinction between God's pleasure/desire and his sovereign purposes. Here is the question:
I thought this an interesting development: http://www.abpnews.com/content/view/6405/53/
The School's president said that Caner, "shares the values that I have... of a godly example."
Has Caner ever repented publicly for his public fabrications?
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
This scripture is very clear that those for whom christ died, his elect, sheep, his church..that we were reconciled to God by the death of christ, and that while we were enemies by nature..
The elect arent enemies as in the seed of satan, but in that by nature, we are enemies in our minds towards God, more like at enmity..i.e col 1:...
if for some reason was not a Baptist Christian, what Church would you see yourself being a member in, based upon your theological understandings?
Do all "camps" within the ranks of calvinism hold and teach then that faith itself is a direct Gift from God, that we Cannot exercise free will at all, that we MUST be giving it in order to believe and receive in Jesus Christ?
SO Cals all say that we really have no decision to make on Christ, all done beforehand by God, we just "do it?"
is it true that for one to be considered to be really a student of the Bible, would require at least a "working knowledge" of the Greek/Hebrew used to record original manuscripts in by God?
Just asking, as I have heard it both ways...
To get "real meat" of the Word reqquires to know some of the original languages, at least enough to use bible tools of them
Also heard that unless you become proficent in them, better to have a good English version and use good study techniques!
just asking this, as some seem to believe that one can be actually saved, going to heaven, and NOT exercise their own personal faith?
That God eithers gives the faith, so that they do NOTHING to get saved, or else gets them to heaven even IF never exercised faith in this life?
Music is universal. Every culture, every nation, every person has their music.
Having grown up in the 1950's and early 60's I'm prone to rock and roll music. My parents loved the big band era. Later, came the disco beat, then came the rock music which rolled over to the hard rock scene. Some like the
country western beat. Others, classical music. Some people like Southern Gospel Music. One form of music I really detest is Rap. This absolutely drives me nuts.
Now, let me...
