Okay.. I was in a Christian mommies blog on Babycenter and someone asked what people thought about Yoga, and if its bad to do...
There were a few "Christians should not be doing yoga because you are opening the door to allow evil in"...
Now I've never really done yoga other than a few yoga moves in my Insanity workout dvd..and some people mentioned some yoga instructors having you chant things but I've only seen the yoga classes at my gym and I've never seen them chanting..just...
In that context "ALL ISRAEL" in Romans 11:26 is:
1. The same Israel in verse 25 that is put in contrast with the elect "gentiles"
2. It is what has been "cut off" in verses 11-23 that is grafted back in "again" in verses 11-23 and that is the ETHNIC NATION of Israe.
3. The same Israel in verse 26 identified as "Jacob" and this term is NEVER used by scripture writers for Gentiles or Gentile elect (Mal. 3:6).
4. The same Israel in verse 28 that is PRESENTLY enemies of the gospel...
While considering the debate between those who posit that the extent of the atonement is for the world and those who posit that the atonement is limited to the elect, I stumbled across this vital scripture passage that made me stop in my tracks:
"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20
This changes the whole...
Non-Cals often argue that God would not require of man what he is not able to do, such as believe. Non-Cals argue it would be unjust for God to punish a man for unbelief if it were impossible for him to do so.
Calvinists often respond that God gave man the law and it is impossible for man to keep the law, therefore it is not unjust for God to demand from a man what he is not able to do.
The question is, can man keep the law? Is he able? The scriptures say YES!
Luke 1:5 There was in the...
We have cals that say irrestible grace from god to the elect
Arms that adhere to ressistible Grace applying to the elect
IF one holds to JUST needing to have Gospel preached in order to those to become saved...
is there a real name placed on that type of Sotierology? NOT no name non cal etc
is there a real theological system name?
There seem to be several verses that indicate that salvation is conditional but are explained to the contrary by Calvinists. An example of a passage that, at first read, would promote a 'conditional' idea of salvation: John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
As I understand it, calvinists explain that the words 'world' and "whoever" are different from what they seem, such that those that...
They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." Acts 16:31
Some preachers use "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved" as an invitation into God's family, and to experience the salvation Christ offers by His Grace. I understand where one is coming from in this, this is what we do, we preach the Gospel, and some believe.
Is belief the end-all? Is that it? Simply believe, and it's done, finished?
Are there any "defects" that come...
