God died for James Holmes
God died for James Holmes (1 Jn 2:2) and can redeem him, only if he would repent. The Apostle Paul persecuted the church and committed many crimes against others more severe than that of James Holmes. If he is hearing voices than demonic influences are at work within him. If not then he committed his crimes without the aid of them. For me I am thankful for God's grace in his redemption of myself who once was lost but know am found, and I was blind but know I can see.

A Person, with a Weapon, Breaks into Your Home....
...would you take the shot [presuming you had a weapon beside your bed, or in your home] to protect your family, your property, your belongings, and most importantly, your life which equates to the continued ability to provide for and nurture your loved ones in the future??? -
Who are, "Those thou hast given to me..."
Calvinists often use John 6 as a proof text to support their premise, but doesn't it help to understand WHO Christ may be referring to when he speaks of those who have been given to him?
Let's read later in the name gospel (chapter 17) where Jesus clearly shows us what he is speaking about when He speaks of 'those thou hast given..."
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

The Baptism debate
My Lutheran friend,
Below is the summation of my soteriological position on the purpose of baptism in the New Testament:
The question is not whether baptism saves, as the scriptures clearly says it does. The question is not whether baptism washes away sins, as the scriptures clearly says it does. However, the question is HOW does baptism save and wash away sins - literally or figuratively. The scriptues clearly says it does as a "FIGURE" - 1 Peter. 3:21.
Moreover, the same can be... -
Did Jesus experience "hell Upon the Cross?"
That he experienced same thing a sinner will, as he was seperated from the father for that period of time on the Cross? -
The Parenthesis Church
Dispensational doctrine makes the Church for which Jesus Christ died, a parenthesis, an intercalation, an interruption in God’s program for Israel.
Much of Dispensational doctrine is the invention of John Nelson Darby of Plymouth England in the early 19th Century, a century when many “Christian” Cults were started: Seventh Day Adventists, Mormons, and Christian Science are the most notable.
Dispensationalism denies that the Church is included in prophecy. Rather, the claim is made... -

Psychology
Watching the news it angers me why everyone wants to cast the actions of James Holmes on psychology and call him crazy, sick, or insane. In my POV the man is neither and is something many refuse to say these days and that is EVIL. James Holmes is evil, wicked, and demonic PERIOD. Do not get psycho-babble involved (a original from John MacArthur, or Wayne Mack).
