I think the standard thing for ISIS to do is to claim responsibility even if they had nothing to do with it. It increases public fear and their reputation.

 

What is it with some of y'all and him not calling it what you think he should? Do you have equal disdain for him not referring to all the white terrorism as such? Maybe he should ask the media to start saying radical white terrorism when someone white commits a mass shooting which they have done quite frequently since 9/11---by far more in the states than have Muslims.

 

Then why does his mis-use of a weapon result in calling for no one to have that weapon?

This has been brought up here, but you've thrown a "red herring" out there, even though it's perfectly apples to apples. If you have insurance, are you guilty of not having faith that God will protect you? If you wear a seatbelt, are you guilty of not having faith that God will keep you safe?

Here's a big one: If you constantly post about global warming, are you guilty of not having faith in God to control the world he created?

Next, as has been stated, Assault Rifles have been banned for decades. An AR-15 is not an assault rifle. The AR doesn't even stand for "assault rifle". It stands for "ArmaLite Rifle". If we take the liberal's definition of assault rifle, this would mean almost any weapon that is available to the public.

Even to make an AR-15 into an assault rifle is a serious crime.

All of that has been explained to him hundreds of times of the years I have been on this board since 2006. Many of us has explained the exact same thing. yet he marches out these same old tired and useless arguments that hold no water and do not make his point.

I notice I haven't received a response from him for a definition of assault weapon....

 

My school has approved "campus carry" beginning this fall semester and there could not be a policy that would better ensure our student's safety from islamic-motivated acts of terrorism. I'm hoping as we make rational policy decisions moving forward I can live my whole life without needing to enter a so called "gun free zone" such as this nightclub.
