Good night where were you walking? What you describe are the goings on in the Tenderloin District. That's been a rough vice filled neighborhood for over a hundred years. You are condemning a 49 square mile city over experiences of a less than 1 square mile neighborhood. If you had bothered to ride the 38 Geary bus west, you'd have seen the changes in the demographics. What's true at Geary and Hyde; isn't at Geary and 6th Avenue.

And when did you visit San Francisco? The SF of 2011 isn't like the SF ov the mid 80s.

Yeah, you don't get to choose how it is interpreted. They do imply yelling. Why not just make your point in smaller, single paragraph responses so readers don't have to break out the fine-tooth comb and you don't have to use bold fonts that imply screaming.

    To Answer Your Question:

I went there every year (no less than five weeks per year) from 1991 to 2001. Not familiar with the different districts, but when I'd go for a walk it was in and around the federal building (down by the wharf - took numerous EEOC courses from the USDA which was housed in that building), Sir Francis Drake, and the St Francis. Those were the ones the state used for housing management level employees while in SF.

Hope that helps to better define the areas I stayed in. Oh, I stayed in the new Janpanesse Hotel numerous times, Just can't remember the name, as its been ten years.

Yeup, walking a block or so west of Powell street and downhill towards Market takes you into a rough neighborhood. If you had walked up hill instead of staying on the flat you'd have seen a different demographic.

Ten years of visiting my fair city, ehh? Did you ever take the time to visit Hamilton Square? We've been on the corner of Geary and Franklin (one block west of Van Ness) since the late 40's.

And all this because one city supervisor proposed a law which would, from the article in the OP

I think it also require people to put clothes on before they go into a restaurant.

It doesn't even legalise public nud1ty. It merely acknowledges it by putting restrictions on it.

We don't need to sensationalise the news to be aware that we live in a sinful world.

All the fuss about a handful of n@ked old fat men.

Yeup, it's all because of the truck sized loophole in the state public indecency law. From the local news articles, the towel requirement is the same as the rules at private nudist resorts.

I was lucky enough to visit S.F., Ca., for three days in 1993. I loved the city, very clean, great food, lovely views & just about perfect weather.

So, here we have it. San Francisco is a personal battle ground for this Dude, so he must warn us all to stay away, lest we come into the same temptation he faced.

But, remember folks, this same Dude thinks it's OK to vote for a pro-abortion candidate like Hilliary Clinton!
