    Seeking Christ
Your point is no relevant. The physical JEWS do not believe in Chrsit. The "SHADOW LAWS" of Circumcision is not a requirement for salvation in the "NEW COVENANT" *ACTS 15 for those who BELIEVE in JESUS.

Your just repeating yourself. You are confused brother in the "SHADOW LAWS IN ORDINANCES" and mixing up the OLD with the NEW. CIRCUMCISION in the NEW COVANANT for those who "BELIEVE" in JESUS is that of the heart through faith.

ROMANS 2:27-28 [28], For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: [29], But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

GALATIANS 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.

GALATIANS 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

COLOSSIANS 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

1 CORITNIANS 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

The "SHADOW LAWS IN ORDINANCES" from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 all point to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

Good question! What do the scriptures say?

HOW DO WE KEEP THE SABBATH?

WHAT DOES GOD'S 4TH COMMANDMENT SAY?

    EXODUS 20:8-11
[8], Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
[9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
[10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
[11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

    WHAT DAY IS GOD'S SABBATH?

v10 The SEVENTH DAY of the week. (Saturday)

WHEN DOES THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK START?

    GENESIS 1:4-5
[4], And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
[5], And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

A day in God's time is the night (darkness) and the light make up one day. The DAY in God's WORD starts at SUNSET and ends the following SUNSET. So God's 4th Commandment Sabbath would start Friday at SUNSET and end Saturday at SUNSET.

ALL UNECCESSARY WORK TO BE DONE BEFORE FRIDAY SUNSET

    EXODUS 16:22-23
[22], And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
[23], And he said to them, This is that which the LORD has said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath to the LORD: bake that which you will bake to day, and seethe that you will seethe; and that which remains over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

MARK 15:42, And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath

The preparation day is the 6th day of the week. This includes preparing to stop all business and secular work as well as any domestic work; cooking, cleaning; shopping, buying and selling that can be done on any other day of the week.

IT IS LAWFUL TO DO GOOD ON THE SABBATH?

    MATTHEW 12:5-12
[5], Or have you not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
[6], But I say to you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
[7], But if you had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless.
[8], For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day
[9], And when he was departed from there, he went into their synagogue:
[10], And, behold, there was a man who had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
[11], And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
[12], How much then is a man better than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

MARK 2:27, And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath

It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.

WHAT IS LAWFUL ON GOD'S SABBATH?

    1. Remembering the creator and his creation (Exod 20:8-11)
    2. Rest from all unnecessary work (Ecodus 20:10-11)
    3. Doing good (Matt 12:12)
    4. Prayer (Acts 16:13; Matt 21:13)
    5. Worship the creator (Isaiah 58:13-14; Ex 34:14; 1KING 9:6; Rev 14:6-12)

Song, praise, bible study, helping others, preaching the gospel, resting, prayer, seeking God, remembering the creator and his creation. Walking in nature, going to church with like minded believers. (too many scriptures)

WHAT IS NOT LAWFUL ON GOD'S SABBATH?

WORK; all business and secular work as well as any domestic work; cooking, cleaning; shopping, buying and selling that can be done on any other day of the week and anything to do with work (Exodus 20:8-11; Ex 16:22-23; Matt 21:13).

    .............

There is no purpose in FOLLOWING any of God's LAWs including the SABBATH if it is NOT done through FAITH that works by LOVE because it is ONLY as GOD writes his LAW to LOVE then we can take up our beds to follow him. LOVE is the fulfilling of GOd's LAW in those who BELIEVE (Rom 13:8-10)

"Now where is the scripture that says God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day?" You have provided none have you? Does this not worry you? If should.

JESUS says those who "KNOWINGLY" follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it and you have provided none.

May you receive God's WORD and be blessed.

We still have a problem with the NC replacing the 10Cs. How do you get around this? Any documentation to support your claims?

Deu 6:1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
Deu 6:2 That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
Deu 6:3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

What is the context of Deuteronomy 6? What comes before 6?

Deu 5:6 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
Deu 5:7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
Deu 5:8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
Deu 5:9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
Deu 5:10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
Deu 5:11 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Deu 5:12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
Deu 5:13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
Deu 5:14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
Deu 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
Deu 5:16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Deu 5:17 Thou shalt not kill.
Deu 5:18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
Deu 5:19 Neither shalt thou steal.
Deu 5:20 Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Deu 5:21 Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Deu 5:22 These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

You begin with the eternal 2GCc, and follow with the now defunct 10Cs. So what is your point?

As I said. It doesn't replace them. See Romans 3:31. See 2 Corinthians 3-4, which is citing Ezekiel, etc.

Read Matthew 5 carefully and see the Ten Commandments laid out in detail, in their depth.

Read Paul in Romans 13., etc, etc.

Matthew 5 = the 2GCs when interpreting the 10Cs spiritually.

This must worry you Roby being full of false claims and accusations which are your Words denying God's WORD while seeking to talk about anything else except the the scriptures only provided in love and as a help to you in the OP. Ignoring God's WORD does not make it disappear. Your following a man made traditions and you cannot deny it because you have no scripture to support your tradition. If we are not following God's WORD. Who are we following? JESUS says all those who follow the teachings and traditions of men that brean the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9. Something to pray about. In times of ignorance God winks at but when a knowledge of the truth is come he calls all men everywhere to believe and follow his Word *ACTS 17:30-31. If we sin willfully after we receive a knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice but a fearful looking forward to the judgment to come.*HEBREWS 10:26-39.

Now where is the scripture that says God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? If you cannot find any. Your following man made traditions that break the commandments of God. It is the Word of God alone that says if we break any one of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of sin *JAMES 2:9-10 and the wages of sin is death to all those who knowingly break the commandments of God because those doing so reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.

There is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed. Sadly at that time it will be too late for those that had a chance to hear God's Word and chose to turn away from it not knowing the day of their visitation. Tick tock goes the clock who will here the call to go out and meet the bridegroom? Those that have trimmed their lamps to hear his Word.

God's Sheep hear His Voice and follow him. Those that do not are not His Sheep *JOHN 10:1-10; JOHN 10:26-27.

May you receive God's Word and be blessed.

    ========

    =======
    Exodus 35

2“For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, a sabbath of complete rest to the LORD; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. 3“You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath day.”

So between Friday Night and Saturday Night, you are not going to be on the internet right? cause it causes ISP's to work. and turning on the monitor kindles a fire, do you power off your house Friday night? No lights.

I'm not allowed to make another person work either.

And when you see someone work, "whoever does any work on it shall be put to death." Is that Right?

But the 10Cs HUNG from the 2GCs = they were before the 10Cs. And they remain even though the 10Cs areno longer in force.

They were for the wicked, forcing them to act like they loved God, whom they did not know, under threat of death. They were a street level version of the 2GCs for those not born again.

What does the rest of the posts and scriptures say in the post you are quoting from but only part quote me? Is it lawful to do God's Work on the Sabbath?

Brother Dave, you are confused. JESUS says; "ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS (love to God and man) HANG ALL THE LAW and the prophets *MATTHEW 22:36-40. What do you think these scriptures mean. I know you will not answer this as well as the other questions we were discussing yesterday. Others may understand though.

I have been specific about COLOSSIANS 2 in the OP proving that COLOSSIANS 2 is not discussing any one of God's 10 commandments but the "SHADOW LAWS" from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT in "ORDINANCES" that point to JESUS and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

V16 being in reference to the "SHADOW sabbaths" in the annual festivals which can fall on any day of the week and not God's 4th Commandment that is one of God's 10 commandments that give us a knowledge of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20.

    This was prayerfully demonstrated in posts 2-6 by God's Grace showing;

    1. THE CHAPTER CONTEXT
    2. THE WITHIN SCRIPTURE CONTEXT
    3. THE GREEK WORD MEANINGS OF THE WITHIN SCRIPTURE CONTEXT
    4. CONTEXT TO THE REST OF THE SCRIPTURE WITHIN ALL SCRIPTURE

Why do you not wish to discuss COLOSSIANS 2 with me?

Those who are God's Sheep hear His Voice (the Word) and follow him.
