    Hello everyone,

    How are you all today?

It is getting quite cold over here now, does that mean it is getting warmer over there?

    They sure do! ;)

Hello Sheila! How are things in your neck of the woods? Any snow?

Well I jumped in and grabbed that email Dr. Bob! Wait til Theresa tells you what the allergist wants to do to my Nick!

Sheila! Hello! It's horrible near here even tho we've been spared. Hubby was to head to North Carolina for a job interview tomorrow afternoon. That's far enough away that he'd have to leave before dawn. We checked the weather there and part of the state is under emergency so he's calling to confirm the appointment!

Jim had an interview with a head hunter today who believes he has a great job for Jim. The problem is the owner has had several YOUNG men attempt this job the past year and fail miserably because of lack of organizational skills, etc. The benefits are beyond anything we've ever had. He wants Jim to see the owner as soon as possible. It'a a National Sales Managerial position and Jim has done that for 2 American companies and 1 Canadian company and did it VERY well. It would mean Jim would be gone a lot more than even before tho. Just wanting the Lord's will for our family.

Meanwhile, a young hubby and wife team asked Jim to sell for them straight commission. They own a company that prints out or embroiders anything. It's PrintedGoods.com and he told them he'd help them until he found something with pay! BUT today he made a contact with the school board in their county and got leads that will keep this company busy for a long time. Maybe the Lord planned to bless THEM during this time and used Jim's talent to do so.

Ouch... almost time for Sue to brave the weather again and help the kids. Be careful out there my friend!

Off to check the rest of the board!
    Diane

Been praying for Jim's job Daine. If you get a chance (and know)let us know before about 5.00 your time whether he is travelling tomorrow so I can pray about that as well.

Roger, Jim called North Carolina and they said UPS and FEDEX had cancelled all deliveries so he's to travel and see them on Wednesday instead. BUT... the really well paying job interview has been set for tomorrow! THANK YOU for your prayers!

God is the blessed controler of all things . . including the weather.

We will all be praying. To be without work/income is a terrible burden on family and really tough on a man's self-image.

Even voluntarily so (because of medical problems) it is hard.

Prayed about the jobs just now Diane, will make a note to pray tomorrow and Wednesday as well. The Lord knows EXACTLY what job you all need. Isn't that of great comfort?

I will pray for your Jim too, Diane. And for you. This must be almost as hard on you as it is on him.

    Hello Dr. Bob,
I am glad to hear that you are enjoying some nice weather. My son took a glass of hot water this morning threw it out the front door, and it immediately froze in mid-air and then came down as snow. That is cold.
It is presently minus 33 Celsius (minus 27 F.), but will be going down to minus 39 which is minus 38 (almost the same), with a windchill factor of minus 53. Minus 53 on the Celsius scale is minus minus 63.4 on the farenheit scale. My son didn't plug his car in last night, so you can guess what happened to him this morning. The schols are still operating, even though, in addition to the cold we have had about 10-15 cm. of snow in the past two days (i.e., 2-3 in.). It is enough to make the roads fairly icy.
But were not complaining. This is Canada.

By the way, you just can't compare Alberta with the Promised Land (Eastern Ontario). We are only at -35c, but does drop to -45 at night.

It was so cold this morning, if I had one of those talking trucks, it would have said, No Way, Hosea, when I tried to turn the frozen key.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good evening, everybody!!

Well, I really messed up today. :( When I left for work this morning, it was 57ºF/14ºC. Not bad, huh? So I wore a skirt and a light knit sweater. I took something for lunch and after I ate, went to the track over the gym and walked, so I didn't go outside all day.

When I left tonight, it was 37ºF/3ºC, windy, and I nearly FROZE!! It's supposed to get down to 24ºF/-4ºC and only up to 40ºF/4ºC tomorrow!! Had NO idea this was blowing in!! Guess that's what I get for reading my Bible in the mornings instead of listening to the weather forecast?? :D

I'm REALLT beginning to get tired of this up-and-down weather! Either get COLD and stay there until spring...or get WARM and stay there until spring!!! This 20º drop during the day is for the birds (geese)!!

Diane, things seems to be looking a little more positive for you guys! Jim seems to be having some serious interviews...I'm SO glad for you! And, as Roger said, God knows EXACTLY what job you need...FAITH is believing He will provide it in His own timing!

I see Ed and Betty are back from their cruise!!! Hope you guys will post some pictures, and hope you had a DELIGHTFUL time! You were missed!

Everybody stay warm...or cool...whatever the case may be!!

Now you will understand why every Londoner carries a brollie everywhere even when the sun is shining...it can, and usually does, rain all the time in London.

Had you joined the Boy Scouts you would have been prepared!

    Cheers,

"brollie" = umbrella?? (My first clue was "rain" and "London"!!)

I guess I just need to have a change of clothes at work...the opposite of whatever I start out in!!! :D Or at least, keep a coat at work!!

Dan,,with Diabetes, wait two weeks and your eyes may be back to where they were.
My oculist will not prescribe eyeglasses without a two week waiting period and second examination.

    CJ,

It is easy enough to store a jumper at work. That would prolly be enough where you are at those reasonable temperatures.
Good job I didn't say mac and wellies too!
    Cheers,

    Jim

Canada seems like a nice place to live . . if you don't mind FREEZING TO DEATH!

They call those storms "Alberta Clippers" for a reason, don't they. And the only thing that slows down the wind between Alberta and where you're at, Jim, are three barbed wire fences!

    Yep, same
happened to us in central Oklahoma.
Only last week we were in the
    sunny Caribbean.

    Weather report for Central Oklahoma:
    25ºF looking for a lo of 17ºF.
A spattering of snow/sleet/ice on the
    ground, no more falling.

This particular storm we are facing has two fronts; the mid-west USA and the direct North. We had the Alberta clipper a few days ago..they are actually rare..they usually head south.

But it is cold, wherever it is coming frometh....

    Cheers,

    Jim
