I suspect that if I were to see it, and could testify to there being no nudity, you'd tell me I was wrong.
Heck, you don't even acknowlege the possibility that you might be in error. You're firmly sticking to your claim that there is nudity, despite your lack of firsthand knowlege, and in light of the numerous people who have seen it and said no such nudity exists. And you don't see how this damages your credibility? -
I havn't seen the movie nor will I. The most on this board would have no problem with this movie or any other movie. **remark removed***What does that tell you? R.G.Lee said one time that he didn't think 25% of Baptists were saved. According to what some people write on this board he might have been high with his estimation.

And that is your right, and I support your conviction 100%.
Incorrect. Most on this board will refuse to see a movie they find objectionable. However, many will refrain from forbidding others from seeing it, or thinking less of another person's faith if they choose to see it. (It doesn't matter what movie we're talking about here.)

Funny,
Diggin in da Word said there is nudity.
Bunyan said there is nudity.
guitar preacher said that there was no nudity. But then said there was, but it was a 9 year old girl who was just budding.
And they say they have seen it.
Also, let's say the movie 'Cheaper By The Dozen had had a 9 year old girl in it running around nude. It would be called porn. What makes 'End of the Spear' any different? -
You had earlier inferred adult female nudity. There is none.
Only a pervert with a dirty mind would make an issue of this. -
There is also the part in the film where the Waodani woman looks into Steve's pants to see that he is a boy. You don't think that is dirty? It is uncovering someone's nakedness.
As to the adult nudity, I did not say the adults were totally nude, I said partial nudity. Again, many who have seen the movie have attested to this.
Also, in the movie, the Waodani men wear nothing but loincloths in many scenes. That can cause a homosexual and/or women to lust as well.
Of course, to the liberals, there is no problem at all. -
On a sidenote, Job commented that we're born naked and return naked.
***Inappropriate quotes and replies removed***
No one here has attested to partial adult nudity.
Oh, you've got to be kidding. I can't think of a more ridiculous attempt to justify a position.

Oh now, SFC is unrighteous? And raving, too. As well as being a legalist and a pervert with a dirty mind. Well, maybe a moderator needs to come in here and close down this thread and delete some of these inflammatory posts! Why resort to namecalling and inuendoes? Is that Christ like? And what happened to giving this a rest? I'm ashamed to be a Baptist right now. :(

You have no problem when others are called liberals, likewarm, worldly and compromisers. But now you step in. Interesting.
Indeed, I have no problem with this thread being closed. No fruit is produced, and I have asked that we let this go on numeous occiasions with no heed.
-
sure, LE, all who stand firm on the doctrine once and for all delivered to the saints are unrighteous. We live in a world where we must go with the flow, even though the Word says be not conformed to this world.
It is ok though, Sister. The Bible says, 'Yea, and all that will live Godly and in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.'
I say, let 'em bring it on. My Lord knows my heart and He will give me strength in times of trial. -
-
No, just those who make silly comments and accuse those of not agreeing with them as liberals are unrighteous.
I have sufferred plenty of persecution. You'd never apply that towards me, however.
-
Would everyone who has endorsed the EOS been just as positive had it stared Ellen Degeneres as a christian missionary?
-
Berean, they probably would. No problem with Chad Allen playing a missionary, why not a lesbian as well?
It is sad that America has turned its back on the Godly principles set forth in the Word of God to satisfy their own lusts and fleshly desires. -

LadyEagle,
Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Matthew 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Having done all, Stand, my Sister. Don't give up the fight!

This is the first time I have ever felt embarrassed about my "conservative Brethren". I am proudly conservative, but this really makes conservatism look bad. We might as well just hand everything over to the liberals, because we won't ever be able to get any of them to listen to us if we act like this over a Movie like "The End of The Spear". Too bad they choose Chad to star, a very bad choice, but the movie is outstanding.
