or eternal security of the believer.
I know I am saved because I have put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and he granted my salvation and forgiveness of sins. This is based on his promises in His Word that He has paid the penalty for my sins by atoning for them with His blood. I trusted Him.
Some would call that a "self-centered" salvation and thus no salvation at all (a Calvinist view). Why? It centers around my choice, my free will to choose Christ and put my faith in him.
I've heard many say that the NKJV doesn't always go with the TR but uses the same texts that most modern versions use.
Here's one quote:
Not true! Non-TR -- Nearly 800 times!
so, could anyone that is kjvo give some examples. I know it was asked for 5-6 examples. Could we have that. I find it amazing that in all the time discussing this subject I have seen this accusation given, but never can examples be made.
For clarification, I'm not asking for translational differences between...
In another thread about Rush Limbaugh, Matt Wade brought up "There are a lot of examples I can give, but I'll just leave it at two.
1. Elton John"
I assume Matt was talking about the fact that Elton is a homosekual - and in spite of that was invited to sing at the wedding of Rush and his fourth wife.

If you found out that a person who provided a service was a homosekual - would you end the relationship?
IF the pastor/board went from officially saying Spiritual Gifts, at least 'sign Gifts" ceased after Apostolic Age to that they would now be 'open" to idea might still be in operation...
Would you stay or go?
(Not my situation, just asking!)
I believe that four of the 5 points of Calvinism are false doctrines.
T = Total Spiritual Inability, being dead in our sins means we are unable to receive the gospel in a manner that would result in Salvation. This is false doctrine, the parable of the four soils, Matthew 13:1-23 tells us that some folks lost their limited spiritual ability to understand the gospel by the practice of sin which harden there heart and they became like the soil next to the path. The other soils did respond...
was it really just past 200 years than?
Everyone on CNN and the Weather Channel are talking like that these are EXTRORDINARILLY destructive and fierce tornados. They are saying things like, "had bad ones before, but NEVER...LIKE...THIS."
The oil spill
Just wonder sometimes if God Almighty is eather judging us for our hedomism, violence, sodomites accepted, baby killing, etc, with our soon destruction the result...
Or...saying to us " this is your last chance, get your act together, or else I WILL do...
Calvinist: Man cannot be saved on his own.
Arminian: I agree, but that is why God sent the Word...the life giving truth and appeal for all to be reconciled.
Calvinist: The Word is not enough because men are born dead in their sin and enemies of God
Arminian: I agree that we're dead enemies of God, but where does it say the life giving message of reconciliation is not enough to revive the dead? Where does it say man can't respond in faith to God's life giving means, the power of His...

If not, why not?, if so - why
