Spiritual Union or Eternal life
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Paul divides humanity into two distinct classifications. (1) in the flesh; (2) in the Spirit.
In the flesh refers to our natural state as we are born physically into this world with all the physical attributes that come with physical birth. All human beings come... -
The nature of free will and where might it come from.
1 Sam 8:7 And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
The New Covenant
Jer 31:31,33,34 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
But this [shall be] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my... -
A new Bible Version: Fulfilled Covenant Bible
I had posted this in the Bible Version forum, but perhaps it is more appropriate to place this new thread here, since it has much to do with Bible study.
For those interested, there is a new version that is due to be released at the end of this year. It is the Fulfilled Covenant Bible.
It is a Preterist Bible that is available already online. Various authors were asked to write prefaces for each of the various books. I was asked to tackle the preface for Ezra-Nehemiah. You can see mine... -

Millennial Kingdom
Are there any other amillennialist here? I tend towards partial preterist as well. -
What could turn you?
What keeps us believing in Christ as Savior? Is it something ultimately in ourselves or something ultimately in God? What would be the ultimate cause of our failure to believe? Is it something lacking in us or something lacking in our Savior? Whatever that ultimate source is, was it ever an object of salvation by Christ? -
Take my Greek Quiz
I teach Ancient Greek to HS students in Honduras (bilingual students already). Here is the quiz I just gave them. Try it and tell me how you do. We are teaching based on the living language approach. It is fantastic.
Here is my initial article explaining my approach. -
Would You Take the Mark of the Beast?
If the government continues as it is, a majority of citizens will more than likely be on some form of public assistance, meaning that their incomes, the very roof over their heads [and loved one's heads]; medical care [prescriptions, dialysis, surgeries, etc.]; ability to buy gas, food, pay utilities, etc. could one day all be tied into a system that could terminate all the above should a person not take the mark of the beast [kind of what we are told will happen any ways].
If not taking... -
Biblically Speaking, Would You Vote to Secede from the Union?
Let's make this short and sweet.
There are a large number of states looking forward to leaving the union. If you had to vote on this [in the state, you reside in] would you approve the secession or not? And is secession Biblical?
I'll answer that biblical thing by saying that if the union was doing something that was blatantly against the Word, and leaving the union meant getting back in line with His Word; I'd jump on the wagon to vote my state out of the union.
However, just...
