The Bible Way of Salvation
This is how I see that Bible’s way for a sinner to get saved.
1. No human being can, in and of themselves, call upon the Lord for their salvation. The Bible is very clear, as Romans 3:11 says: “There is no one who seeks after God”. The natural person would not desire to give their lives to the Lord. Salvation is a free Gift from God to the human race: “for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would... -
Why Do The Reformed/Calvinists Hate the Lost?
The Holy Bible is very clear, that God VERY MUCH LOVES the human race, that is, ALL without exception, which is correctly used by John Calvin on John 3:16. Yet, there are these two groups, and some who support their cause, who the LEAST interested in showing any love for the lost, and, in fact, will argue that God actually HATES them, by misusing Bible verses like Romans 9:13, which has nothing to do with salvation, but rather of SERVING!
These will WILFULLY ignore every Bible verse or... -
Calling All Open-Minded Reformed/Calvinist
Will YOU accept what the Bible actually does teach on God's Great Salvation, and not what some "theologians", who are clearly AGAINST the Teaching of the Holy Bible, claim to be what the Bible says???
Dave Hunt brilliantly deals with the MANY errors of Reformed/Calvinistic "theology". They who have ears to hear, let them open them to God's Truth. -
"Church English"...
While recently talking face-to-face with a believer of the KJVO myth, he told me the KJV was written in "Church English" & no newer verion was. I explained to him that, years beore the internet came along, I had sent letters to several English professors asking about that very thing, & all who answered assured me THERE'S NO SUCH THING as "Church English". The KJV was written in mostly the same English as was used every day by the British of the time, as were the versions that preceded it.... -
Limited redeemed, not Limited redemption.
Matthew 20:28, ". . . to give his life a ransom for many."
Matthew 20:16, ". . . for many be called, . . ." -
Opposing Presuppositions.
Opposing presuppositions are more than their opposing view points. Unless both sides of two distinct view points know their own presuppositions, neither can truely explain their own point of view. Some presuppositions are extra Biblical. The problem with some being extra Biblical is when such a presupposion is not actually true. -
What Really makes a denomination or organization truly Christian?
So I have had a long conversation with a devout Catholic for the past year or so and we have been on the subject of water baptism. They have some things spot on such as the Trinity, the twofold nature of Jesus Christ, the crucifixion, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. So how can they be so messed up about how salvation works and being born- again?
I know Calvinist and non-Calvinist have their differences on whether one has to ask God for the Holy Spirit rebirth or whether God... -
The Terrible Sins of Sodom
Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good. - Ezekiel 16:49-50
1. Pride
2. Gluttony
3. Laziness
4. Uncharitable
And to make the long story short... They found nothing else better to do. -
Repentance
This awesome word which merely means to think differently, or turn around and go back, feeling remorse, has lost a considerable amount of usage in the last hundred years.
It seems no longer to impart the same depth of importance that it has in past centuries, and seems that it is soon to be scorned or consigned to “old school” no longer needed.
In replacement, the modern Grace thinking seems to go along the lines of easy confession, or a “my bad” style admission without the sting of... -
Christian Flag above the American Flag?
We have several Christian organizations and folks in our county that have begun to fly the Christian Flag above the American Flag as the U.S slowly collapses under God's judgement and becomes morally indefensible. My county is in the rural Appalachian mountains, I.E the Spine of the Bible Belt.
For those that don't know, the American Flag Code says that the American Flag must always be flown highest, so these Christians are knowingly violating that.
Would you fly the Christian Flag above...
