Spiritual Interpretation....pt6
In part 5 there was little improvement made on the verses in question.
No premillenial person has offered a consistent biblical response to the verses offered dealing with the OT. Usage of the sun, moon, and stars....in Isaiah, and in Joel, and in Acts, and Revelation 6.....the heaven being rolled up like a scroll, stars falling to the earth, the sun not giving light, the moon turning to blood......
No one has answered this from any premill source, as predicted.
The author, his abilities,his... -
The Feminization of Christianity
All the churches Ive been visiting with lately are female dominated......why is that? Does this article come close to explaining it?

David Chilton and the Greek
David Chilton was a Reconstructionist, touted by Gary North as a wonderful scholar, someone unanswerable by his opponents. North wrote, "But there will be no successful attempt by scholarly leaders of the various pessimillennial camps to respond to Chilton. There is a reason for this: They cannot effectively respond. As we say in Tyler, they just don't have the horses. If I am incorrect about their theological inability, then we will see lengthy, detailed articles showing why Chilton's book... -
Marcion the Heretic
A. Who was Marcion and when did he live?
Marcion was born about 110 AD, being the son of the wealthy Bishop of Sinope in Pontus.
By 144 AD, at age 34, Marcion had caused such a stir, that his teachings were the subject of an investigation and condemnation.
B. What did Marcion believe that made him a dangerous heretic:
Marcion believed that the God of the Old Testament was an evil creator god that Jesus came to destroy.
Marcion believed that this evil god did in fact reveal his will through... -
Colossian 3:13b; NIV vs. ESV, NKJV, KJV, NASB, etc.
There seems to be a phrase missing from Colossians 3:13 in the NIV. Here's the verse:
13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. [NIV]
13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. [ESV]
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ... -
Met an "effective" evangelist
Dialogued with a pastor of a church that feeds the homeless, attracts new people to his church, has programs for the poor, and runs an effective ministry. In the eyes of many on this board this pastor is an effective evangelist. But hear the catch. He denies that Hell is real, believes everyone is saved, would rather follow what Jesus did, than to worship Jesus, and when I questioned his views he pointed me to his ordination, his 40K he had to spend in biblical studies to get his Mdiv, and... -
Consistently pro-life
The election cycle brought out the consistently clamorous controversy on abortion – as it should – and yet other pro-life positions often go unmentioned. American Christians who oppose abortion are sometimes accused of having a pro-life “credibility gap”. Ronald J. Sider notes, “It is a farce for the church to ask Washington to legislate what Christians refuse to live.” (Completely Pro-Life: Building a Consistent Stance, p. 25). Abortion is a clear moral wrong, one that denies the most basic... -
Would you listen to a Prophet?
If a prophet was in your midst, how would you know whether he speaks the truth? Lets look at scripture to see what their message was and see if you hear it:
What is a false prophet vs the true message?:
Deu 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
Deu 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
Deu 13:3 Thou... -
Why do people get saved in spite of the modern gospel?
Was listening to the WOTM radio and they like usual played a clip from brother Paul Washer and Paul was ripping on the modern gospel message and said that a large number of people have made a decision for Christ but their life never changed and they do not have Jesus. Yes some get saved but it's all in spite of the modern gospel message. So why do they get saved? I have my opinion and that is that God elects people to salvation and does so in spite of the modern gospel. What do you say? -
God Does Not Will Any To Be Lost, Some Men Do!
"The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance"
Instead of "ὑμᾶς" (you), some versions have "ἡμᾶς" (us). The former reading is found in the best textual support. The difference is important, as the latter can be taken to refer to believers only, where Peter includes himself in the "ἡμᾶς".
Either way, it could not refer to believers, or as some would argue, the "elect", as this would...
