Absolute uncertainty in Hebrew Masoretic Text and varying Textus Receptus editions?
In the Hebrew Masoretic Text and in the multiple varying Textus Receptus editions on which the KJV is based, is there absolute uncertainty according to KJV-only reasoning?
KJV-only author Charles Keesee asserted: "When you challenge them to show you any Greek or Hebrew text that is inerrant, they can't. It is hypothetical or theoretical inerrancy and absolute uncertainty" (A Subtle Apostasy, p. 191).
According to this KJV-only author's own challenge, most KJV-only advocates will not show... -

Romans 9 and Calvinism
Twice a week I attend a program with groups for people with disorders like schizophrenia, where there is one patient who is a Calvinist, from whose mouth comes always the doctrines of Calvinism, referring for proof to verses like those in Romans 9, which reads:
1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my... -
The Willingness of men
David told his son Solomon;
1Ch_28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
1Ch_28:21 And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and... -
A well-known evangelist's silliness...
I was listening to a regular radio prog of a well-known evangelist who was killed in a plane crash in 1982, who was supposed to be indy fundy Baptist. While I'm not a regular listener, I happened to be listening today, His sermon was supposed to be about taking drugs, not only illicitly, but for supposed beneficial effects. He started out fine, but then began talking about some old doc who never prescribed a drug, but supposedly had a high cure rate, then, about abuse of 'sleeping pills'. He... -
Baptism in Jesus’ name (Trinitarian style)
Baptism in Jesus’ name
Jesus said: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” Matthew 28:19 (KJV 1900)
And the Apostles did so, or did they? “(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)” Acts 8:16 (KJV 1900)
“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.” Acts 10:48 (KJV 1900)
“When they heard... -

Simple Question...
Does Christ's atonement cover the sin of unbelief? -
Tradition or Scripture
Baptists are noted for placing the pulpit between the alter table and the baptistery.
Is that tradition or is there Scripture support?
Baptists are also noted for the alter call/invitation prior to the concluding prayer.
Is that tradition or is there Scripture support?
What other items might Baptists regularly engage that may be tradition or may have a Scriptural base? -
The Atonement of Christ: What did it REALLY Achieve ?2
It made them Christ died for Spiritually Rich !
2 Cor 8:9
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Notice "That ye [ The Church of God see 2 Cor 1:1] through His poverty [ made in the likeness of sinful flesh] might be rich.
This is stating a Divine Purpose to be accomplished through His coming and giving His Life for the objects He gave His Life for, the Church of God. Notice...
